This Sunday we are going to be at the Tikipunga Markets again from 7.30am so come along and see us. In addition to selling our recyclable bags, plants and bric a brac we are offering a mobile haircutting service. Fully qualified hairdresser Kath Manley, who has a child in Te Putahitanga has kindly offered her services. The cost will be $10.00 per haircut. Our students will be taking bookings and payment. We look forward to seeing you there.

When: Sunday 29 September,

Where: Tikipunga Market, (Tiki Tavern Carpark)

Time: 6.30am to 11.00am

On behalf of all the staff and students of Tikipunga High School especially the staff and students of Te Putahitanga, we farewell Mrs Lyn Whitfield.

Lyn is one of our longest serving Learning Support Assistants who joined Tikipunga High School as a teacher aide when Te Putahitanga was called The Sinclair Centre.

Term 3 was sure busy for us in Te Putahitanga. We have been doing hard work in the unit, lots of learning in many different curriculums, prepping for business at the local Market and out-of-school activities. Special mention to the Y.E.S (Young Enterprise Scheme) students, who did awesome work making recyclable bags in preparation of the Sunday markets.

Enjoyable moments this term has been us out and about in the community; great fun at the Whangarei Aquatic Centre, work experience, Circability, visiting the All Blacks and of course the science fair. A great term displaying all of our school values, time for a well-deserved two-week holiday.
