The immediate objective of the project is to assist the country in the preparation and submission of its First Biennial Update Report to the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC for the fulfillment of its obligations to the Convention under Dec. 1/CP. 16 par. 60 and Dec 2/CP. 17 par. 41 and its Annex III. BUR Project is consisting of 5 chapters, where chapter 1 is on national circumstances, chapter 2 is on the GHG Inventory, chapter 3 is on mitigation policies and actions, chapter 4 on financial, technology and capacity building and chapter 5 is on establishment of the MRV system. The Project Management Consultant will work under the direct coordination of the BUR and EEAA. The Project Management Consultant will support effective delivery of the activities within the project by administering and executing processes and transactions to confirm the consistency with the UNDP rules and regulations. The incumbent may need to work in close cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, EEAA, CCCD (UNFCCC Focal Point), National Council on Climate Change, UNDP Program and others ensuring successful project implementation, as deemed necessary. Objectives The overall objective of the Project Management Consultant is to qualify senior managers and researchers in (EEAA) to get Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP) and to prepare them to manage a new project related to mitigation of climate change. The training course is to develop a comprehensive content that combines theoretical concepts and practical implementation to ensure that by the end of the training, participants will be able to follow simple and systematic processes to design and manage new mitigation projects Target Audiences and Expected Results Experienced managers from various sectors that are related to climate change and are engaged in project implementation activities. Potential audience are those eligible for handling mitigation and adaptation projects. Expected number of audience is about 60 trainees (approximately 15 trainee/group) Deliverables: The Project management Consultant will prepare the following deliverables for BUR;

Time Frame: All activities should be completed by December 31,2017 at the latest.

Qualifications:

1. Certified PMP trainer who is an individual consultant. 2. University degree in Engineering, Sustainable Development with an experience at least 10 years in project management as

training. 3. Excellent knowledge of technical terminologies related to sustainable development and Climate Change in English and

Arabic.

4. Excellent presentation and communication skills in Arabic and English. 5. Experience with International & Governmental Institutions. 6. Fluency in Arabic and English.

Reporting: The Project Management Consultant will be under direct supervision of the BUR Project Manager.

Terms: Payment will be made according to each deliverable.

Programme Deliverables

1. Assessment for the applicants who meet the qualifications of the course.

2. The consultant needs to prepare a training material covered all the content of the project management

professional certificate and connect it with environmental sector to enable them to design and manage projects

related to climate change mitigation (36 hours training)

3. Provide Training and support for PMP exam application.

4. Conducting mock exam and issuing training certificates

5. Provide training report to the BUR project.
