Afternoon If EDB announces schools are to be closed in the afternoon: The PM assessments of the day will be rescheduled to the afternoon of 8 May (P.3) / 15 May (P.6) Collection of assessment materials will be postponed to 12 May (P.3) / 18 May (P.6) Break Written Assessments Reminder Written (1) 1 carton containing the AAS Working File and all stationery in both days will be provided (Do NOT open any carton until the assessment day) All cartons are packed by assessment day and with a label to indicate the total number of carton(s) of the day Barcode labels are generated from the school data submitted as at 17 Mar 2009 Reminder Written (2) Teachers are NOT permitted to invigilate their own subject classes Remind the Invigilators to bring along their personal copies of the Invigilators Handbook for use at the assessment sessions (to be sent to schools by DHL on 27 May) Delivery of Assessment Materials is appointed On 12 or 15 June 2009 AM schools: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm PM schools: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Whole-day schools: 9:00 am 3:30 pm Same receipt procedures as Oral & CAV Assessments With assessment date and subject(s) 1 3 Time of Assessments All schools to start at 8:45 am / 1:45 pm on both days (with 15 minutes flexibility) Students with special needs may start earlier All schools must follow the assessment timetables given in the Instructions to AAS All schools must finish the assessments by 12:30 pm / 5:30 pm Checklists for Written Assessments Schools can download the checklists from the TSA Website from 28 May 2009 Photo around 3 piles of assessment materials for for the written assessments 3 different classes 36-copy 12-copy Support to Non-Chinese Students (NCS) Additional bilingual (Chinese and English) instructions for all Chinese assessment papers will be provided to each WS1 student Enough copies of instructions will be put into the Stationery Box. AAS can distribute the instructions to their WS1 students if necessary Support to Non-Chinese Students (NCS) AAS please ask invigilators to collect the bilingual instructions after the assessment and put them into the Envelopes for Surplus Materials Procedures Related to Onscreen Marking (OSM) Students are required to stick barcode labels onto the cover and inner pages of their worked question-answer booklets (QA booklets) Sticking Barcode Labels (1) Ask the students to check their information on the barcode label Sticking Barcode Labels (2) Sticking Barcode Labels (3) Sticking Barcode Labels (4) Students without barcode labels bearing their class numbers or do not have sufficient reserve labels should simply fill in their respective school code, class name and class number on the cover page of the QA booklet HKEAA will process these QA booklets separately Answering MC Questions Blacken the circles with HB pencils The use of HB pencils produces the best effect. The use of HB mechanical pencil is also acceptable. Writing within the Frames Answers written outside the frames will NOT be marked Special Arrangements Students Requiring Enlarged QPs (1) Will be packed separately Special Arrangements Students Requiring Enlarged QPs (2) In English Listening Assessment, students may be given a sub-paper different from that of their classmates.
