“TG parallel with grid” feedback is given tosteam governing system and to generator AVR.

mode of operation between speed control mode& mw control mode.

Based on the !"## stat$s of “TG parallel withgrid” feedback% generator AVR changes its mode

of operation between voltage control mode &power factor control mode.

To $nder stand how and from where the “TGparallel with grid” feedback is taken% it isre'$ired to go thro$gh switchyard scheme andthe breakers associated to create path betweenTG and grid to e(port power.

synchroniDation of TG with grid. nce the TG gotsynchroniDed with grid the “TG parallel with grid” commandwill be fed to steam governing system and Governor changesits mode of operation to <: control mode. Governor remainsin the same mode as long as the “TG parallel with grid” !feedback is available. As soon as Governor receives “TGparallel with grid” ## command% it changes its mode tospeed control mode and tries to maintain rated R;< oft$rbine to s$stain the $nit with home load. To bring back thet$rbine to rated R;< )$dden opening or closing of governorvalve will be taken place $p to re'$ired level depends on

c$rrent r$nning R;< of t$rbine. Time delay in receipt of “TGparallel with grid” ## command to Governor plays a verycr$cial role in controlling t$rbine R;<.
