Bulldogs & Poodles The story is told of a bulldog and a poodle who were arguing. The bulldog made fun of the poodle for being a weak little runt. He even challenged the poodle saying ‘Let’s see who can open the back door of the house the fastest to get inside.’ The bulldog figured his powerful jaws on the doorknob would open the door quickly. To his surprise, the poodle accepted the challenge. The bulldog then jumped up to the doorknob and with his teeth and paws began trying to turn it. But, try as he might, he couldn’t get a grip on the doorknob. In exhaustion, he gave up. Then it was the poodles turn. He did what he always did...went up to the door; scratched a couple of times and waited patiently. Shortly, the master opened the door, picked him up, patted him on the head and brought him inside.

It’s all about relationship. Some of us are bulldog Christians. It’s all grunting and growling and working to please God. But the Lord says...Give that up and draw near to me. “Draw near to me and I will draw near to you.” James 4:8. Sunday School Speaking of ‘Drawing near to God’ one of the great ways to do that is by plugging into Sunday School. We have great classes that will help you build the relationship with God and with others.

Sunday we had 403 in attendance. We are needing to start some new classes, so pray for us that the Lord will supply the right teachers. Looks like we build those new classrooms just in the nick of time! Praise God! I love being your pastor! In His Grip, Bro. Chuck
