陳受頤生平

1899：出生於廣東省番禺縣1920：廣州嶺南大學畢業, 留校任中國文學系講師1922：與陳榮捷、甘乃光、葉啟芳等人共同創辦廣州文化研究會1924：升任副教授，成為當時國內大學中最年輕的教授之一1925：赴美進入芝加哥大學深造，專攻比較文學1928：以《18世纪中國對英國文化的影響》一文取得博士學位1929：嶺南大學中國文學系教授兼主任，並創辦《嶺南學報》1931：國立北京大學歷史學系主任（至1937年）1936：南加州波莫納學院客座教授1937：夏威夷大學任教四年，與陳榮捷共同創立東方研究所1941：受聘於波莫納學院，並任教長達26年1967：從波莫納學院退休1978：車禍康復後又患病，終致不起而病逝，享壽79歲
