Location

• Iceland is located at latitude area around Atlantic Ocean. The weather is cold and they are lack of food sources. Most of their food are from ocean. Therefore,fish are their staple.

Weather

• In southern of iceland temperate zone marine climate and northern of Iceland is tundra climate.

• The average temperature of Iceland in summer is 12C, in winter is -1C.

Skyr

• Icelanders eat skyr everyday, anytime!!• Skyr is a cultured dairy product that is thick

and creamy and tangy like Greek yogurt.

Hákarl (Stinky shark)

• It is similar to our stinky tofu.• Tourists may think the smelling is gross but

Icelanders who live abroad missing the taste of stinky shark.

• Icelanders eat it with brennivin(黑死酒 ).

Sægreifinn (whale)

• Whale meat tastes like beaf.• Usually whale meat are cooked to medium-

rare or medium, and eat with yellow mustard.

Lobster soup

• The stock is baked lobster shells, cook with some vegetables and milk.

Puffin

• Taste like duck.• It is protected now but Icelanders still catch it.• Originally,they eat their heart with cooking.

Pylsur(hot dog)

• The most famous “pylsur” is in downtown and it's called “Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur”, which translates to “the best hot dogs” in town.

• A sweet brown mustard ("pylsusinnep"), ketchup, raw onions, crunchy deep-fried onions (see "Cronions" in the slideshow), and a mildly tangy remoulade.

Lamb

• It is not allowed to use chemical fertilizer and growth hormone ,so the meat you eat in Iceland are all from native.

• You must eat if you come to Iceland
