Bonhams’ presence in Asia began in 2007 with the launch of auctions in Hong Kong. Rapid expansion in the region saw the opening of offices in Taipei, Tokyo, Beijing, Singapore and finally a prestigious dedicated saleroom in Hong Kong in May 2014. During its short but imaginative period of expansion in the region, Bonhams has pioneered the introduction of new regular specialist auction categories in Hong Kong to great success - Fine Wines in 2008, Rare Single Malt Whisky in 2009, Yixing pottery in 2011, Leica cameras in 2012 and writing instruments in 2013. FINE CHINESE CERAMICS AND WORKS OF ART

Exceptional quality, rarity, provenance and record prices define the Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art sales. The most expensive Chinese ceramic sold at Bonhams Hong Kong is an extraordinarily rare blue and white garlic-mouth vase made during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty from the collection of Yoneo Sakai (1900-1978) which sold for more than 12 times its pre-sale estimates to achieve HK$76.2 million in November 2014.Auction history was made in November 2013 with a world record price of HK$52.38 million achieved for Masterpieces of Yixing Stoneware from the Mr & Mrs Jimmy Sha Collection. In this sale, two stoneware teapots sold for HK$10.36 million each.Another world record was scored in November 2011 when an exquisite ‘famille-rose’ enamelled glass ‘European-subject’ snuff bottle, made in the Imperial Palace workshops in Beijing during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, sold for a world record price of HK$25.3 million.Another Qianlong Imperial collectible - a magnificent pale green jade archaistic vase – sold for HK$19.16 million in November 2014.A record total of over HK$70 million was achieved in October 2014 at the single-owner sale of The Feng Wen Tang Collection of Early Chinese Ceramics.An extremely rare cloisonné enamel incense burner and cover from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty sold for HK$13 million in May 2012. One of only two of its kind, its twin currently resides in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.Unprecedented prices were also achieved for Important Ming Lacquer from the Kaisendo Museum offered for sale in May 2014. These three lots of Imperial Ming Chinese scholar’s objects made their way from Kaminoyama city in the Yamagata prefecture of Japan to Hong Kong to sell for HK$9.41 million.

2014年11月，一件由坂井米夫(1900-1978)舊藏的清朝雍正年間製的青花纏枝花卉紋蒜頭大瓶，最終以估價12倍的價錢7,620萬港元成交，創下了香港邦瀚斯的拍賣紀錄。

2013年11月， Jimmy Sha伉儷珍藏宜興紫砂拍賣會，亦創下了5,238萬港元的世界拍賣紀錄。是次拍賣中，兩件紫砂茶壺各以1,036萬港元成交，全球矚目。

2011年11月，一件清朝乾隆年間由北京宮廷造辦處所製的玻璃畫琺瑯西洋仕女鼻煙壺創下了2,530萬港元成交價的世界紀錄。

同樣來自乾隆時期的御製青白玉瑞獸魚雁紋鋪首銜環耳壺在2014年11月的拍賣會中亦以高價$1,916萬港元拍出。

2014年10月，奉文堂珍藏中國古代陶瓷拍賣會以超過7,000萬港元成交，亦創下了拍賣價紀錄。

2012年5月，一件清乾隆御製銅胎掐絲琺瑯雙人托長方形爐以1,300萬港元成交。此香爐一式兩件，另一個現藏於英國倫敦維多利亞與亞伯特博物館。

2014年5月，三件原藏於日本山形縣上山市蟹仙洞博物館的明朝15世紀剔紅牡丹靈芝花卉紋雙連軸台在香港以941萬港元成交。

FINE CHINESE PAINTINGS AND ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART

Fine Chinese Paintings sales offer a diversity ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary art works representative of one of the oldest and best-known Chinese art forms. In May 2014, famous 20th century painter Zhang Daqian (1899-1983)’s A Pair of Songbirds Perched Amidst Red Leaves fetched HK$9 million, while a long panel of calligraphy titled The Tale of the Old Drunkard Pavilion from the Ming Dynasty dated 1555 by the outstanding artist Wen Zhengming (1470-1559) sold for HK$7.8 million. Bonhams achieved a ‘white glove’ result (meaning every lot was successfully sold) at its first dedicated Asian Contemporary Art sale entitled ‘Voyages of Discovery’ in May 2012. Featuring 15 works by renowned Chinese artists Chu Teh-chun and Zao Wou-ki, the top lot went to Chu Teh-Chun’s Le Odeur du Ciel No.1, 1982 which sold for HK$9.62 million. The next sale of Fine Chinese Paintings will be held in May 2015, while the Modern and Contemporary Art sale will be held in October 2015. This sale will span art from Southeast Asia and Taiwan to China, Japan and Korea and including works from Yayoi Kusama to Zhan Wang. November will see our pioneering sale in the category of Prints, Photographs and Works on Paper. This will include work from Asia and beyond, introducing new collectors into the market and making accessible works by well-known artists.

中國書畫是一種歷史悠久，同時又最廣為大眾認識的中國藝術。邦瀚斯的中國書畫拍賣範圍廣闊，包含了由古代、近現代至當代書畫大師的不同時代和風格的作品。

2014年5月，中國近代水墨大師張大千(1899-1983)的《紅葉雙栖》以900萬港元高價成交。在同一拍賣會上，一幅書於1555年的明朝文徵明(1470-1559)《醉翁亭記》水墨紙本手卷亦以780萬港元成交。

邦瀚斯在2012年5月舉行了首場亞洲當代藝術拍賣，定名為Voyages of Discovery。是次拍賣非常成功，達到100%全部拍出成交率。拍賣會由15幅著名華裔畫家朱德群和趙無極的作品組成，其中朱德群的《Le Odeur du Ciel No.1》(1982)成交價高達962萬港元，成為該場拍賣最高成交價的焦點拍品。

下一場中國書畫拍賣將於2015年5月份舉行，而「現代及當代藝術」拍賣則會在2015年10月份舉行。是次拍賣的作品主要搜羅自台灣、中國、日本、韓國、以至東南亞，拍賣將會包含各種風格迴異的藝術品，包括草間彌生的藝術創作以及展望的雕塑。本年11月，邦瀚斯更將會首次舉辦「版畫、攝影及紙本作品」拍賣會，包括亞洲及外地的作品，令人熱切期待。

FINE JEWELLERY AND JADEITE

The success of the Fine Jewellery and Jadeite auction in November 2014 was crowned by the sale of A Flawless Collection of ‘Hearts and Arrows’ Diamonds which fetched HK$20.2 million. This exceptionally rare collection of 16 D colour, Flawless, Internally Flawless, brilliant-cut diamonds graduated in size from 1.16 carats to 4.49 carats and weighing a total of 39.98 carats. Perfectly matched in colour and clarity, the diamonds represented Excellent Cut, Symmetry, and Polish and most of type IIa purity. Only a tiny percentage of the world’s mined diamonds were D colour (the best) and Flawless or Internally Flawless clarity (the best). Less than 1% of the world’s diamonds are cut to hearts and arrows precision.

Outstanding prices were also achieved for an important 10.09 carats Colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring and a fine two-strand jadeite bead necklace which sold for HK$7.24 million and HK$6.52 million respectively at the same auction.

Signed fine jewellery from the most coveted brands proved their value and collectability with a magnificent Van Cleef & Arpels ring featuring a rectangular-cut Sri Lankan sapphire weighing 43.16 carats setting a new world record at that time of HK$12 million in November 2012. An important Cartier art deco ruby and diamond necklace, circa 1925, achieved HK$4.82 million in May 2013. Featuring approximately 20.00 carats of rubies and 30.00 carats of diamonds, the necklace’s linear outline and geometric design are classic examples of the art deco period. This important necklace was illustrated in the book “Bijoux Art Deco” by renowned French author Sylvie Raulet.

這套稀世珍藏由16顆D色無瑕、內部無瑕、明亮式切割(Brilliant-cut)鑽石組成，每粒重量由1.16克拉至4.49克拉，整套總重量為39.98克拉。珍藏中的鑽石成色、淨度配襯、切磨、對稱、和打磨拋光全屬極優等級(Excellent)(triple Ex)，大多數均為Type IIa鑽石。全球採礦出產的鑽石中，只有最優質的極少數能獲D色、無瑕或內部無瑕淨度評級。此外，世上只有少於1%的鑽石採取精確的八心八箭切割。由此可見，此套鑽石珍藏實絕無僅有，可遇不可求。

由著名品牌出產的珠寶一直是客人的收藏保值之選。 2012年11月，邦瀚斯在香港以1,200萬港幣拍售了一枚梵克雅寶(Van Cleef & Arpels)的43.16克拉斯里蘭卡寶石藍寶石介指，刷新了世界拍賣紀錄。

2013年5月的拍賣會上，一條卡地亞紅寶石配鑽石項鍊 (1925年製)以482萬港元成交。項鍊鑲有共約20.00克拉紅寶石和30.00克拉鑽石。項鍊的設計採取直線和幾何圖形，是典型的裝飾藝術時期(Art Deco)風格。這項鍊極具代表性，著名法國作家Sylvie Raulet於其著作《Bijoux Art Deco》內亦有所闡述。

Modern horological timepieces, vintage wrist and pocket watches from the most esteemed watchmakers entice collectors and fulfil connoisseurs’ desire for technological innovation and fine aesthetic micro engineering. Watches with extreme technical prowess and heritage that have commanded top prices at Bonhams include a Richard Mille very fine and rare 18ct white gold dual time zone tourbillon manual wind wristwatch Perini Navi Cup RM015 which sold for HK$1.10 million in May 2013; and a Patek Philippe fine and rare PT950 platinum and diamond set perpetual calendar chronograph manual wind wristwatch with moon phases Ref:3970EP which achieved HK$1.09 million in November 2013. Master watchmaker George Daniels’ very fine and rare 18ct yellow gold limited series automatic centre seconds calendar wristwatch with Co-Axial escapement with fitted box, papers and letters signed by George Daniels went to an Asian collector for HK$1.72 million in June 2014.

FINE AND RARE WINES AND RARE SINGLE MALT WHISKIES

Bonhams started setting trends in the auction of fine wines and spirits in Hong Kong in 2008. Always seeking to be one step ahead of the market, Bonhams Hong Kong introduced distinguished Japanese whisky as a new auction category in 2014 to meet the demand of increasingly sophisticated aficionados. In August 2014, a highly collectible Yamazaki 50 year old, one of the rarest and oldest Japanese single malt whiskies of all time, fetched HK$257,250. The highest price fetched for a bottle of Scottish single malt was for a bottle of Macallan 62 Year Old limited edition in a Lalique crystal decanter which achieved HK$428,750 in May 2014. In November 2014, a six-litre methuselah of Romanée-Conti 1985 from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti sold for HK$735,000.

RARE LEICA CAMERAS AND FINE WRITING INSTRUMENTS

Niche collectibles offer a unique edge to Bonhams’ sales in Hong Kong. A Leica Luxus 1 camera, circa 1930, sold for a world record price of HK$7.46 million at the first auction sale of its kind in Asia in November 2012. In November 2014, a Leica NASA prototype, circa 1966, fetched HK$4.36 million. Introduced in 2013, the Fine Writing Instruments auction category features a different kind of subtle precision accessory - the luxuriously handcrafted pen. Among the top sellers are the NAMIKI: Emperor Snow Moon Flower (Setsugekka) Limited Edition 99 Fountain Pen, circa 2010, which sold for HK$118,750 in November 2013 and the Montblanc limited 2001 special theme edition Skeleton 333 fountain pen with box and papers which achieved HK$103,750 in November 2014.

邦翰斯一直為大家帶來徠卡Leica相機的拍賣。在2012年11月首度在亞洲公開拍賣的徠卡Luxus 1相機（製於1930年）便已獲得驕人成績，以破世界紀錄的746萬港元高價成交。而在2014年11月，於1966年所造的徠卡NASA相機原型亦以436萬港元成交。

邦瀚斯在2013年首次舉行名貴書寫工具拍賣。這場以拍賣Namiki鋼筆為主的拍賣中，NAMIKI Emperor系列限量版雪月花鋼筆，以11.8萬港元成交；其後在2014年11月拍賣的萬寶龍2001年罕有限量版鏤空333鋼筆以10.3萬港元成交。
