The rescued Israelites keep rebelling against God. So God says He will not permit them to enter their promised land. They have to travel in the wilderness until their generation dies out.

centuries of warnings to turn back to him. But when they refused to do so, eventually judgment came.

神给旧约时代的人千白年的时间让他们回转 .但他们不愿意，最终审判来临了

God offers us eternal life and a place in his kingdom. But our opportunity to trust in Christ can run out by our death, Christ’s return OR our own hardness of heart. (Hebrews 3 & 4)
