Who We Are
U.S.-China Center for Animal Health (美-中动物卫生中心)
is a K-State-based education service center for the
improvement of Chinese animal health education,
research, regulatory, and industrial workforce.
Improve the veterinary medical training system in China to meet the
AVMA standards. We will train 50 DVM students from China in 10
years.
Provide continuing education services to Chinese veterinarians.
Provide contract research and development services to U.S. and
Chinese animal health institutions.

The U.S.-China Joint DVM Program-An international partnership with government,
universities, and industry
Establish a partnership with the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and 17 colleges of veterinary medicine (CVMs) from the U.S. and China
- to train the “trainers” of veterinary medicine in China;
- to create an opportunity for the world’s future most influential leaders in animal health to become colleagues and best friends now.

The U.S.-China Joint DVM Program
Train 50 DVM students from China in six colleges of veterinary
medicine in the U.S. in the next 10 years
1. Each year, up to 10 students will be selected from seniors and
graduate students in Chinese universities to enroll at K-State for
one-year pre-veterinary studies with full scholarships (tuition and
living expenses) from the U.S.-China Center for Animal Health
and China Scholarship Council
2. KSU help the Chinese students acclimate and get admitted to
DVM programs in a partnering veterinary college in the U.S.
3. The Chinese DVM students study at one of the six colleges of
veterinary medicine in the U.S. with full scholarships (tuition and
living expenses) from the China Scholarship Council
China Scholarship Council commitment (2013-

Industry contribution (2011-present): $592,732(Pfizer AH - Zoetis, Banfield, Ceva, Shor-Line, and Advanstar)
