properly. There are also Welcome Packets

Sacrament of Matrimony Congratulations on your upcoming marriage.
Couples must contact Fr. Weisenberger at least
six months before the proposed wedding date.
Sacrament of Baptism Congratulations on the newest member of your
family! Parents wishing to have their child

“This is the one about whom it is written: Behold,
I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he
will prepare your way before you.” -Mt 11:10
Pastor’s Note… There are two items I am going to mention in this
space today.
First, December 16 is the last day of the first part
of Advent. During this period the Church has
focused on the future coming of Christ in glory.
Beginning today, December 17, that focus shifts to
the arrival of God the Son made human over 2,000
years ago. This change is very clear in the prayers
and readings we hear at Mass. Perhaps the best
image for these last days of Advent is the Blessed
Virgin Mary waiting for the birth of her son.
Second, on Wednesday, December 18 at 7:00 pm
will be our parish communal penance service. I
expect four other priests to be here to help us
celebrate this sacrament. Going to confession can
be a very important part of our preparation to be
freed from whatever hinders us from welcoming
Christ with joy. Celebrating this sacrament
communally expresses that our sins harm the whole
Church, the Body of Christ. I encourage all
parishioners to take advantage of this opportunity to
celebrate God’s mercy.
Fr. Richard Weisenberger
