hawnee Mountain Ski Area presents the 8th Annual

Poconos’ Wurst Festival filled with an entertaining mix of brews, brats and musical festivities set for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 16 and 17. Considered the “Best of the Wurst,” cultures collide as authentic Polish and German themes blend scrumptious cuisine and traditional music with eye-catching costumes and dance.

Slip on some lederhosen and dancing shoes for a pure Polka weekend with three stages filled with favorites including headliners Chardon Polka Band. Said to be “not your father’s polka band,” Saturday and Sunday are sure to be a zany-zelebration as this Ohio group, featured on the Reelz Channel “Polka Kings” reality TV show, grabs attention with talented tunes and youthful antics.

The Austrian Boys joins the main stage music maker lineup. With local talent Joe Stanky and the Cadets, the Apple Strudel Gang and the One Man Polka Bank from New Jersey performing in the Ski Lodge Bier Garten and Brauhaus Bar.

Don’t miss the outrageously exciting “Bier Stein Olympics” inviting sights, steins and hilarities! A fun for all focus includes not only this challenge for adults, but kids can enjoy face painting, rubber duck, pig and “hot dog” races, Bavarian juggling shows and the unique Brat Man living statue!

Plan on spending the weekend savoring the sweet sensations of Poconos’ Wurst Festival, after all, one can never get enough of a wurst thing!
