Study in Austria Thanks for your interest in studying in Austria, the heart of Europe. Following we’ve compiled some relevant information which might help to inform you about studying in Austria. You will also find there the structure of the Austrian education system included. In addition you will be informed about all relevant details concerning tuition fees, accommodation, residency & visa etc. Language Requirements As Austria is a German-speaking country, you might wish to attend a German-speaking study program. Please consider that you should start learning German early enough to ensure that your German level is high enough in order to follow an academic class. Otherwise you might be particularly interested in Austrian study programs provided in English. Therefore please visit https://www.studienwahl.at/en In General there are no language requirements valid for all universities. For the specific required language level please refer to the homepage of the respective university you are interested in. Financial Support One year comprises two semesters, each of around four or five month. In addition you need to take the living costs into account which might add up to approximately HK$8,000 per month. In order to help you affording to live and study in Austria, various grants and scholarships are provided at the following database:

Residency and Visa In order to study in Austria as a non-member of the European Union, you need to apply for a residence permit for study purposes. You should apply for this at least three month before entering in Austria with your receipt of the notification of admission attached. In addition you will have to proof your sufficient financial means, which comes up to HK$ 4,500/ month for students under the age of 24 and HK$ 8,140/ month for students above this age.
