Since Luis Valdez started El TeatroCampesino (The Farm Workers The-atre) in 1965, the Huelga (Strike)and the Teatro have grown together,giving each other mutual inspiration.Its actors, all farm workers, havespread the message of the Huelgafrom Canada to Mexico, and acrossthe entire Southwest of the UnitedStates, Its art is propaganda, butits propaganda is pure art. Throughlhe Tcatro, more than through any-thing else, the feelings of the peopleof Delano have been communicatedto over 2 million farm workers.And we must keep these feelings andthis spirit with us, for our futurewill not come easily; there is a longstruggle ahead.
