    The major religion in the city of Tokyo is Shintoism.

    Two major shrines in the city are Meiji Jingu and Yasukuni Shrine.

    However, the population of Tokyo and Japan hasbecome less and less religious over the years.

    Some may say, though, that the way of life and thecommunity of the city are a form of religion in andof itself, despite no official religious organization.

    SPORTS

    There are three major professional sports inthe city of Tokyo:

    baseball, football (American soccer), andsumo wrestling.

    Tokyo has many universities, junior colleges,and vocational schools. Many of Japan's mostprestigious universities are in Tokyo,including University of Tokyo, HitotsubashiUniversity, Tokyo Institute ofTechnology, Waseda University, and Keio
