The station is gaining in popularity due to the magazine which has the same name as the Hayabusa riders and now it has become a monument where Hayabusa motorcycle riders gather.

Every year motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the country gather and enjoy different events with the local residents on the occasion of the “Hayabusa Station Festival on the first Sunday in August.

The Japan Railway Inbi line connects 9 stations over 19.2 kilometers between Koge Station and Wakasa Station. Since the stations’ bridges, steam locomotive-related facilities, etc. have not been widely renovated and remain in their original state from the Japan National Railways era, all 23 railway- related facilities were collectively registered as intangible cultural properties for the first time in Japan in 2008.

This has an unusual style which uses Saijo persimmon wood ash as a glaze.

This pottery has the motto of making objects that are “enjoyable to look at”

This kiln was originally built under the patronage of the lord of Tottori. They feature pale blue and milky white flowing patterns made with the traditional straw ash glaze used in the kiln of the Edo era.

Hokyoin tower is a memorial service tower containing“ Hokyo Amida-kyo”. Inside there are inscriptions of a moon and Sanskrit characters. There is an inscription dating from the 2nd year of the Jitoku Period (1385) which leads us to believe that the building dates from the period of the Northern and Southern Courts.

rabbits treasure!

Yazu-cho has two legends: the descent of Amaterasu and the legend of the white rabbit. People have had faith in the white rabbit god since ancient times. In addition, one of the places connected with the white rabbit, which played the role of cupid for Okuninushi no mikoto and Yakamihime in the famous story of the “white rabbit of Inaba”,is“Hakuto-jinja Shrine” in Yazu-cho Fukumoto. Why not go on a journey of love prayer and learning the history and culture of Yazu-cho while touring the spots connected with the rabbit?

korin (the descent to earth) and

legend of white rabbit

A long time ago, when Amaterasu Omikami, who ruled

the heavens, descended to earth in Yakami-gun (in the

area which now includes Yazu-cho), a white rabbit took

the hem of her robes and led her to a Karinomiya

(temporary lodging built for an Imperial visit). The white

rabbit that led Amaterasu Omikami was worshiped as an

incarnation of the god “Dohakuto Daimyoujin” , and

even now, it is enshrined as an important guardian deity
