ixForTen 4000 is a system developed by Gerry D'Anza for
the design, structural analysis and pattern making of tensiles,
membranes and cable nets.
After 20 years of work thousands of tensile structures have
been built world wide using our system and we are proud to
say that the community is growing day by day.
Our slogan is quite simple "Your success is our success" since
we believe in teamwork and strong relationship between users
of a software and who develops it.

progetto, l’analisi strutturale e la produzione di tensostrutture e reti
di funi.
Nei 20 anni di sviluppo sono state costruite centinaia di
tensostrutture in tutto il mondo impiegando il nostro sistema e
siamo orgogliosi di dire che la comunità di utenti cresce di giorno

The central hall (230x430 feet) of Sambil Barquisimeto fits the contour of the guitar-like shape which prevails in the image design of the mall. Six poles and the central “spine”: – 28 feet wide, glass-covered truss, (which originally included also a circular steel framed base for a geodesic cupola in structural glass) – support a cable net system that anchors the whole structure to the concrete roof. A PVC membrane teflon coated (Ferrari) spans on both sides of the spine. In the original project, transparent ETFE cones covered the connection to the poles.

Poly-Ned placed a tensile structure, which is an architectural addition to the new main square at the TU Twente. This tensile structure of 900 m2 is not just a dry run but also symbolically connects the various buildings of the campus together. A tensile structure is the name for a tensioned fabric in the shape of a canopy. Poly-Ned designs, manufactures and assembles these objects themselves. Own engineers, draftsmen and technicians take care of each other the entire process of drawing fray to tightening the last nut.

The request was a open space with 100 m span clear roof.
The solution with a Cable truss system was accepted from the beginning solving not only space requirements but even earquake analysis
tests due to its high flexibility.

Contractors
Over the courtyard of the Librije's Hotel in Zwolle Poly-Ned realised a cover / tensioned structure. The square is thus functional throughout the year. The unique feature of this structure is that it can be easily (de)mounted. The structure can be tensioned with the help of an impressive hydraulic cylinder (length 8 m!), which is sunk a centrally placed ornament. In this ornament, the whole structure, membrane and liners, are stored. The historic building - the former women's prison in Zwolle - which Jonnie and Therese Boer have established their Librije Hotel.

In December 2002 there was a big flank eruption on Monte Etna. South Vent had become a giant cinder cone, one of the biggest features of Etna. It fed a voluminous lava flow which in those days damaged the buildings near Rifugio Sapienza. The project consists of construction of the new shelter, with a laminated wood structure and a cross at the base isolation system.

The Company TSI has its origin in research and development that a group of 4 architects did in the field of lightweight structures and membrane, since 1995. This experience has been brought in TSI in 2005. The objective of founders was to create an efficient and dynamic organization within the professional building industry.
High quality services and professional skills are the basis of our work. Gerry D'Anza, co-founder of the group, has developed a system for tensile structure design, nonlinear static analysis and production named ForTen used today by 250 companies worldwide, with which the team has many collaborations and joint ventures. At today the team has designed, engineered and made supervision for many special structures worldwide.
We work in the field of Architecture & Civil Engineering, with a wide range of applications, with research and development of new software tools, to reach always high quality results in acceptable time. We have reached a wide client base and partnerships with companies, universities and professionals worldwide, and We are able to deliver accurate and professional solutions from concept design to full engineering and construction. We believe that, at any scale, the quality of each single part is a must in the success of everything: for this reason effort and research for new solutions are always part of our work.. TSI works in conformity of the ISO 9001:2000 standards and is going to get certified by an international organization.

TSI trova origine nel lavoro di ricerca e sviluppo operato, sin dal 1995, da un team di 4 architetti nel campo delle strutture leggere e membrana. Questa esperienza è stata portata in TSI nel 2005. L'obiettivo dei fondatori è stato quello di creare un'organizzazione efficiente e dinamica nel settore delle costruzioni . Servizi di alta qualità e professionalità sono alla base del nostro lavoro. Gerry D'Anza, co-fondatore del gruppo, ha sviluppato un sistema per la progettazione, l’ analisi statica non lineare e la produzione di tensostrutture, di nome Forten utilizzato oggi da 250 aziende in tutto il mondo, con le quali il team ha numerose collaborazioni e joint venture. Ad oggi il team ha ideato, progettato e diretto i lavori di costruzione di un gran numero di strutture speciali in tutto il mondo.
