THE BIG TURNIP.

A grandfather has a seed. He goes to the garden. He puts the seed in the ground. The seed grows. It’s a turnip. The turnip is big. It’s very, very big.

He pulls the turnip but it doesn’t move. The grandfather calls the grandmother. “Come and help!” he says. The grandmother pulls the grandfather. The grandfather pulls the turnip. The turnip doesn’t move.

The grandmother calls the granddaughter. “Come and help!” she says. The grand- daughter pulls the grandmother. The grandmother pulls the grandfather. The grandfather pulls the turnip. The turnip doesn’t move.

THE BIG TURNIP. The granddaughter

calls the dog. “Come and help!” she says. The dog pulls the granddaughter. The granddaughter pulls the grandmother. The grandmother pulls the grandfather. The grandfather pulls the turnip. The turnip doesn’t move.

They pull and pull and … the turnip moves!!! They eat the big turnip. It's

good. They’re happy.
