reggekry het, is om die wêreld bewus temaak daarvan dat kinders ookMDR-TB kankry. Dit kan doeltreffend behandel word asdit geïdentifiseer word,” sê hy.Hy sê in die verlede is daar geglo MDR-TB

kan nie oorgedra word aan kinders nie. Nouhet die departement dit bewys. En, sê hy,90 % van hierdie kinders wat behandelword, word genees.“Daardie boodskap begin nou deurkom in

ons land en die buiteland,” sê hy.

Hy sê dit is baie belangrik om’n kind met TB, wat in aanra-king was met ’n volwassenemet MDR-TB, nie net die gewo-ne TB-behandeling te gee nie.“Die kans is goed dat daardie

kind met MDR-TB aangesteekhet.“Identifikasie van MDR-TB

by kinders is baie moeilik, om-dat hulle eintlik so min kiemehet,” sê hy.Hy beklemtoon dat kinders

met TB nie net voor die voet vir MDR-TB be-handel kanword nie, omdat dié behandelingbaie slegte newe-effekte het en ook langerduur as gewone TB-behandeling.Schaaf is ’n beskeie man, maar is een van

die fakulteit se twee A-gegradu-eerde wetenskaplikes en hetmeer as 200 navorsingsartikelsop sy kerfstok.Hy is ook die redakteur van

die kliniese handboek, Tuber-culosis: A comprehensive clini-cal reference, wat reg oor diewê-reld gebruik word.Hy behandel kinders by die

Tygerberghospitaal, BrooklynChest-hospitaal en met uitreik-programme in Khayelitsha en

Scottsdene in Kraaifontein. Hy word gere-ken as wêreldkundige op die gebied van pe-diatriese MDR-TB en hy adviseer klinicidwarsoor die wêreld op hierdie vakgebied.

Electrical geysers may well continue toguzzle up some 60% of households’electricity supply as Eskom’s solarwa-

ter heater incentives have been cut.The energy supply giant said it has placed

its Load Reduction Rebate Programme un-der review, meaning rebates worth thou-sands of rands available to solar-savvy hou-seholds will be severly curbed.A leading solar products company has

sincedrawnupapetitionopposing the ener-gy giant’s decision.“In a surprise move, Eskom has termina-

ted the current solar rebate programme, ef-fective from 1 May, with minimal notice tothe public, industry and other stakehol-ders,” said Klint Munton, owners of Sun-Scan Solar Energy Technologies.“Eskom’s major campaigns, which have

cost millions, warn us to cut back on ourusage and urge us to turn off pool pumps,geysers and non-essential appliances.“Despite this, electricity demand still ex-

ceeds supply during peak periods, and nowEskom are pulling the plug on their endea-vor to save power by their subsidising ofenergy-aware consumers who install po-wer-saving water heaters and geysers,”Munton said.“With an electricity grid under severe

strain, how is it possible that a programmesuch as the Load Reduction Rebate Pro-gramme can be discontinued?”

Cutting importsThe City of Cape Town, a major Eskom

customer, said the rebate cuts only appliedto high-pressure solar geysers, and then on-ly if the components used in the making ofthese geysers were mostly imported.“There are new requirements around re-

bates and high-pressue systems, being thatrebates will only apply where productionincludes 70% locally produced compo-nents,” said Sarah Ward, head of the city’senergy department.This is in line with Eskom’s response.

The energy giant said the rebates were notcut completely, but are taking a differenttack.“Theprogramme isunder review inorder

to enhance certain aspects such as creatingmore opportunities to stimulate local ma-nufacture, and the level of rebate,” said La-tetia Venter, Eskom’s marketing and com-munications manager.“The programme will continue, but with

changeswhichare currentlyunder conside-ration,” said Venter.“There will be no negative implication to

the grid as the subsidy will continue.“Selected areas with low-cost housing

consumers will continue to receive lowpressure (LP) solar water heating systemsfor free,” she said.There are two popular kinds of solar-po-

wered geysers: one thatworkswith solar tu-bes, the other with solar flat-plates.A typical 200L solar tube system for a fa-

mily of four costsR29 697. TheEskomrebateon this system isR5 865, bringing the capitalcost down to R23 832. Munton said with fi-nancing, this amount was repayable overup to five years with a monthly instalmentof R998.“One very important point to note – the

tubes are only manufactured overseas.South Africa does not have a manufactu-ring facility to make this product,” Muntonsaid.“WithEskomwanting todoawaywith the

rebate on imported products this is going tolimit the homeowner to flat-plate technolo-gy only.“This becomes problematic when the ho-

me owner has a roof orientation which ismore than 45° off north. Flat-plates do notperform well on such a roof,” he said.Another problem besides the Eskom dis-

count, was the perceived threat posed to lo-cal renewable energy businesses.

Policy changesOne such business is that of David Lip-

schitz. His company advocates net-mete-ring – an alternative energy solution wher-by households generate their own electrici-ty and sell any excess back into the grid.Lipschitz said the rebates were just one

way in which Eskom and the government’sapproach to alternative energy is puttingsmall manufacturers out of business.“Apparently Eskom has given their solar

water heater manufacturers/installers sixweeks’ notice that this Load Reduction Re-

bate Programme is being terminated,” hesaid.“This has become typical of this govern-

ment’s approach to localisationand to its in-centives and rebate programmes.”He said while many businesses and local

manufacturing concernshavebeencreated,the government “willy-nilly” changing ru-les put local businesses on the back foot, lea-ding to cutbacks and closures.International companies then moved in

to fill the gap, he said, with an "associatedloss of localisation, jobs resources, and soforth”.He said if government would spend mo-

ney on alternative energy sources to createtheir own electricity, it would free upenough energy for industry.“Instead of fixing their contracts, Eskom

takes out their problems on the poor and thepoor investorswhohave invested in ‘proud-ly SouthAfrican’ only tohave the rugpulledout from under them.”Asked what Eskom’s stance on net-mete-

ring was, Venter said: “Both net-meteringand solar water heating are important pro-grammes and are not mutually exclusive.”In the meantime, Munton’s petition

against the rebate cut remains.“Wewill continue to lobbyEskom, regula-

tory bodies and government to overturnthis decision.“We urge all South Africans to join the

community for change and sign (the) petiti-on to make Eskom aware of how the rebatecuts affect the pocket and shifts mindsetsagainst creating a greenerSouthAfrica,” hesaid.Eskom’s response to the petition was

short: “Eskom is not intending to close theprogramme, as explained above.”Ward said the city would continue to sup-

Metal thieves darken ParowMAGRIET THERON

“People keep asking us why thestreet lights are now burning inbroad daylight,” says Ernest

Sonnenberg, the city’s mayoral committeemember for utility services. “This is sim-ply because keeping them on costs lessthan replacing stolen cables, and the cablesare less prone to being stolen when the po-wer is on,” he says.

Sonnenberg is referring to the streetlights in Francie van Zyl, where two elec-tricity sub stations were recently so sever-ly vandalised that it cost nearly R1m to fixthe damages.

In the early morning hours of 21 April,the doors to a substation were brokendown and the vandals used stones to demo-lish the infrastructure inside. As a result,the whole road and parts of Parow Valleywere left in the dark for hours.

A second mini-substation further downFrancie van Zyl Drive was targeted the fol-lowing morning , this time interrupting po-wer to the whole Parow Valley.

“The suspected reason for this vanda-lism is copper theft but due to the dangerlive electricity poses, the vandals were pre-sumably unable to steal much copper. Ne-vertheless, both mini-substations werecompletely written off,” Sonneberg says.

Daily basisNevertheless vandalism and cable theft

occur on a daily basis. Within a week afterrepairing the two sub stations, some of thestreet lights on the so-called Aartappel-draai, where Francie van Zyl makes a 360degree turn north west of Tygerberg Hospi-tal, were disfunctional again. This time,the lights themselves were vandalised.

An overgrown trench next to the roadwas proof of where cable thieves dug thewires up in the past.

Sonnenberg says it is not only electric ca-bles that are targeted. All metals, even thesafety railings next to the road, are dama-ged. Damaged, indeed, as a visit to Aartap-peldraai showed almost all the poles forrailings next to the road were sawn off. Asafety fence next to a steep drop into theElsieskraal canal has also been removed.

Residents in Parow Valley are paying theprice for this, they say, as these railings aregradually being destroyed and the area isnot maintained by the municipality. Somesay it’s been at least a year since the muni-cipality cut the grass in some parts.

Not only are they subjected to intermit-tent power cuts, but also the presence ofthese thieves who, apparently, do as theylike. People are staying in a patch of Aloesnext to the Aartappeldraai, where compu-ter parts are strewn about, broken to getto the metal.

Escape routes have been created aroundthe area, making it easy for thieves to getaway. A large portion of railroad fencinghas been removed, enabling thieves to runacross the tracks and into Voortrekker ro-ad.

Fencing destroyed“Do the railway authorities simply not

care?” asks one resident. He says the van-dalised fence around the tracks also resultsin people walking to the Tygerberg stationon the tracks, often alone and listening tomusic through earphones, so they cannothear oncoming trains.

On the other side of the draai, whereFrancie van Zyl passes Tygerberg Hospi-tal, razor wire fencing has been destroyednext to the bridge to create an entrance tothe streets of Parow Valley. In some placestorn sheets are still hanging from the fence

where skollies jumped over in the past.Sonnenberg admits there is a major vanda-

lism problem in this area, but says the cityis doing what it can to prevent it.

“We do take all the precautions possible,but vandals still find their way to stealing cop-per cables, especially at night or in isolatedareas,” he says.

Some of the measures the city is taking areto weld the electricity meter boxes and inspec-tion plates closed. Some of the transformershave alarms that will trigger when tampered.In some places, the electrical wire betweenstreet lights are now high in the air.

Sonnenberg is calling on the public to re-port vandalism. He says Francie van Zyl is apopular route to the Cape Town International

Airport and leaving the infamous Aartap-peldraai in the dark poses a danger to themotorists and pedestrians using this roadat night. The draai, a spot where many anaccident has happened, earned its nameafter a truck loaded with potatoes overtur-ned there a couple of years ago.

Sonnenberg warns that vandalism is aserious offence and that, if caught, cul-prits will face charges of malicious dama-ge to property, as well as theft.V Any member of the public with informationabout suspicious behaviour or any scrap metal de-alers who are approached with green steel sub-station doors are requested to contact the City’sMetals Theft Unit on 0800 222 771. He awarded three service leaders in ward26. Parow Park resident Annalie du Toit re-ceived an award for her ability to get thingsdone. “Through her tireless efforts she hasassisted many of the residents with housingproblems and welfare issues. She is also in-volved with the seniors’ feeding scheme andorganises social activities for the youth inthe area. In every way, Du Toit goes out ofher way to uplift her community and she isfully deserving of recognition for the diffe-rence she has made in the lives of those sheserves,” Justus said.

Steve Ross, who resides in Riverton, washonoured for being a dedicated and loyalcommunity worker. He founded the River-ton Estate Ratepayers’ Association (RERA)inNovember 2012,which aims to build a safeand secure community by involving all theresidents in social structures and program-mes that teach people to be considerate, res-pectful, alert and supportive of each other,and to maintain a clean environment.

“The subcouncil recognises Ross’ effortsand thanks him for his selfless service,” Jus-tus said.

Tanyen Hosking has been serving thecommunity of Leonsdale for the past 40 ye-

ars. She assists the poor to apply for indigentgrants, reports complaints to the city autho-rities, accompanies the elderly and at herown expense assists them in securing SAS-SA grants and identity documents.

She belongs to aWomen’s Club that meetsonce a week to make handcrafts includingscarves and socks distributed to those inneed. She also runs a ballroom dancingschool for children and is involved in a com-munity feeding scheme.

Dit lyk asof inwoners van Louis Botha-weg in Plattekloof se herhaalde ver-soeke aan die stadsraad om verkeers-

kalmering in dié straat aan te bring, nouvrugte gaan afwerp.

“Ek woon reg op die draai en moet elkedag ’n driepuntdraai in my oprit doen, so-dat ek nie agteruit in die straat hoef uit tery nie.

“Dan weet ek ten minste as ’n kar in myvasjaag, tref dit my en nie my kinders nie,”sê Willene Freddy, wat amper drie jaar gele-de begin het om die stadsraad te probeeroortuig om iets te doen aan die gejaag in diéstraat.

Louis Bothaweg is veronderstel om ’n stilstraat te wees – ’n deurgang vir inwonersen besoekers. Maar sedert spoedwalle in dienabygeleë Giel Basson- en Alk van Zylstra-te ’n paar jaar gelede aangebring is, het ver-keer in hierdie stil straat skerp toegeneem,veral rondom spitstye.

VergaderingIn ’n vergadering verlede week tussen in-

woners van die straat, die raadslede, Sak-kie Pretorius en Jan Burger, het die stads-raad in beginsel ingestem om ’n eiland in

die draai te sit om motoriste só te dwing omaan hul kant van die pad te bly. Hulle hetonderneem om die spoedgrens by dié draaina 30 km/h te verlaag en spoedvratte salmoontlik aangebring word.

Die inwoners wou eintlik ’n spoedwal ge-had het, maar Sakkie Pretorius sê die straathet nie aan die Stad se kriteria voldoen omdit te regverdig nie. Hy sê in Louis Botha-straat is die probleem nie soseer dat mensete vinnig ry nie, maar eerder dat daar ’nblinde draai is. Die aansoek om ’n spoedwalis daarom afgekeur, en ook omdat die Stadredeneer so ’n wal sal gevaarlik wees in ’ndraai.

Spoedwalle“Ons kan nie oral spoedwalle aanbring

nie,” sê Pretorius. “Ons gaan die Stad laterso vol spoedwalle hê, ons sal bekend staanas die spoedwalhoofstad.

Die inwoners stem saam dat hulle op langtermyn hierdie beleid sou wou aanvat,maar vir nou is die stadsraad se voorgestel-de plan aanvaarbaar. Volgens Pretorius isdie voorstel nou onderhewig aan verskil-lende goedkeuringsprosesse en sal dit eersin die nuwe finansiële jaar, wat op 1 Juliebegin, ter tafel gelê word. Indien dit goedge-keur word, kan die eiland al moontlik voordie einde van die jaar gebou word.

punt vir vandag, Woensdag 7 Mei, severkiesing. Die OVK gaan die biblio-teek wél gebruik, nadat daar eers be-kend gemaak is dat die Laerskool Pa-row-Wes die nuwe stempunt vir die ver-kiesing is, het Leonore van der Walt,wyksraadslid, Maandag gesê.

A draft policy on the city’s creative andperforming arts is available for pu-blic comment.

The City of Cape Town’s newArts, Cultu-re and Creative Industries draft policy co-vers the full spectrumof the arts and creati-ve expression - from graphic design to bus-king, acrobatics to graffiti, and culturalheritage. In short, all form of arts and crea-tive work are captured in the policy, andCapetonians have until 15 May to providetheir own comment and input.The draft policy recognises the importan-

ce of the arts and creative industries andaims to promote these industries and crea-te an economically enabling environmentto foster their growth.Ian Neilson, acting mayoral committee

member for tourism, events and marke-ting, says the new policy will be an updateon the Arts and Culture Policy which wasin place in 1996 under the then Cape TownMunicipality.“There is a need for an updated policy

that allows the city to take decisions on thesupport for, and delivery of, arts and cultu-ral events,” Neilson says.

GrowthHe adds that cities around the world are

increasingly recognising the importance ofthe creative sector for jobs and economicgrowth, and Cape Town needs a new policyto keep up with the global trend.One of the policy’s desired outcomes is

greater citizen engagement with public lifewithin the city, and its cultural diversity,public spaces and history.The policy speaks of creating facilities

for the arts that make citizens feel “at ho-me”.“This is part of the city’s commitment to

building an inclusive city, where all resi-dents have a stake in the future and enjoya sense of belonging,” Nielson says.“The draft policy is better aligned to en-

sure the city’s greater recognition of cultu-ral diversity and heritage.”While the city’s department of arts and

culture is currently responsible for themaintaince of heritage and memorial sitesand facilities, Neilson says there are talksto move this responsibility to a more speci-alised maintenance unit.The policy lists “persistent fragmentati-

on” and “poor coordination” as one of thebiggest challenges to the creative trade, andone of the objectives of the policy is to assistwith coordinating networking and partner-ships in order to createmore opportunities.The policy also deals with the creation of

a database of Cape Town based performersand artists to draw from when planning ci-ty events.

Database of artistsThe city already has an extensive databa-

se they have been compiling since 1996 andin 2010, artists were invited to audition tobe added to the list.Neilson explains that the city conducts

research in neighbourhoods. They focus onarts and culture related bodies and musici-ans, performers and artists.“The artists are added to the database

andmay be drawn on by other departmentsto participate in events,” he says.The policy promises to market Cape

Town as a “Creative Industries Hub” andrecognises that the arts have an importantpart to play in stimulatingCapeTown’s tou-rism and events industries.The draft policy is available for viewing

A hit-and-run accident, a blood clot, pneu-monia and fractured vertrebrae have beensomeof the severe challengesBrianMulderhas had to face over the last year.

Brian, a music star with hits in the ’70sand ’80s, is partially paralysed and his me-dical resources are depleted. For this rea-son a number of his peers and fellowmusoshave decided to raise funds to – literally –help Brian up.

The fundraising concertUnitedWe Standis being organized on behalf of Brian, afounding member and lead vocalist of thegroup The Peanut Butter Conspiracy.

The lineup of entertainers includes Bar-ry Hilton, Dennis East, The Bats, PJ Po-wers, Robin Boltman and The Square Set.

VernonHattingh fromWelgemoed, oneofthe organisers, said the Peanut Butter Con-spiracy was a much respected band fromthe 1970s. Some of their hit songs include“Understanding” and “Amen”.

“In April last year, Brian was involvedin a hit-and-run motor accident and sustai-ned serious injuries. After several monthshe was on the mend but was then struckdown by a blood clot, which was presuma-bly as a result of the accident,” Hattinghsaid.

“A bout of pneumonia which followedwas so severe that Brian fractured two ver-tebrae in his spine, resulting in partial pa-ralysis.

“He has been in hospital since August2013, mostly in intensive care, and then un-dergoing physiotherapy for approximatelyeight hours per day,” said Vernon.

“His medical costs have spiraled, resul-ting in Brian’s medical resources beingcompletely depleted.

“After being sent home with no incomeand his finances drained due to hismedicalcosts, Brian is at the mercy and support offamily – his daughter and son-in-law – to as-sist where they can,” he said.

“Brian is determined to walk again andrequires extensive physiotherapy and tre-atment to reach his goal.”

Hattingh said Brian, who in the 1980s be-came “one the best cabaret performers andMasters of Ceremony for events throug-hout South Africa”, was an icon in the en-tertainment industry.

He saidBrian also had success as a soccerand boxing commentator onTVand as a co-ordinator of entertainment programmes.

“A group of concerned fellow musiciansfromhis era have decided to assist with rai-singmuch-needed funds,with great respectfor Brian’s talents and his current dire fi-nancial situation.”

The big eventwill be held at GrandWest’sMarket Hall on Tuesday 27 May.

Hattingh said they hoped people wouldfill the 700 seats in support of the concert.

Evans, fromTableView, says it is a privi-lege to be able to help Brian.

“It’s a great privilege and honour to beable to help an old buddywith whom I haveshared so many happy memories,” Evanssaid.

se internasionale eisteddfod (TIE)het my vroeër vanjaar genader engevra of ek nie die beskermheerwil wees nie. Ek het grootgewordmetdieTIEendit het soveel virmybeteken omdeel te neem, dat ek da-delik ingewillig het,” vertel Pedro.As ’n mens so na Pedro luister,

is dit duidelik dat die TIE die per-fekte persoon gekies het om homte verteenwoordig.“My werk as beskermheer sal

sels het in ’n onderhoud vertel datPedro hom 14 jaar terug beoordeelhet toe hy (Robbie) inmatriek was.“Ek het glo vir hom die hoogste

lof gegee en gesê hy moet dramagaan studeer.”

Van die ander bekendes wat ookhul eerste verhoogtreë gegee het bydie TIE, is die operasangers, ZanneStapelberg en RiaanHunter, en diekunstenaar, Lize Beekman.Pedro praat met groot lof van die

bestuur van die TIE. Slegs die ad-ministratiewe en finansiële be-stuurders is betaalde amptenarevan die TIE, die res is vrywilligers.“Ek onthou vir tannie Elize Hay-

man so goed. Sy was en is die dier-baarste tannie. Sy was eers die se-kretaresse en nou is sy die admini-stratiewe bestuurder. Sy was altyddoenig met die sertifikate. Jy kandink hoe dit ’n mens kan besig hou– verlede jaar is 8 489 sertifikateuitgedeel!“Almal op die bestuur het ’n pas-

“maar daar is ook baie komedie, en konfron-tasie. Dis beslis nie net ’n gekerm in ’n bed

nie!”Sandra sê die rol was vir haar moeilik,

veral die voorbereiding.“Voordat ek die rol kon verstaan, moes ek

soos my karakter ook vir alles totsiens konsê. Een aand het dit my heeltemal oorval. Ekwas so ontsteld,want ekmoes alles kongroet

en dan weer op ’n punt van vrede kom.“ ’nMens kan jou amper nie daarin indink

Pieter vanHelslandt vanParowsemu-siek is kunsvorm-uitdrukkings vansy waarneming van die lewe.

Die musikant, wat onlangs sy debuut-al-bum,WeetStil, vrygestel het, sê hy probeerom sy musiek kontemporêr te hou om ditluisterbaar te maak vir gewone mense,maar hy erken: “Ek wil so bietjie anderswees.”

Pieter skryf oor situasies en ervaringeen hoe hy daaroor voel. “Lirieke is vir mybaie belangrik in my musiek,” sê hy. Syliedjies begin as gedigte voor hy hulletoonset.

“So, dit luister nie net lekker nie, dit ver-staan ook lekker.”

Pieter het lank gesoek vir ’n titel vir syalbum, maar hoe meer hy gedink het oorsy musiek en wat dit sê, het hy besef ditgaan oor die bietjie ouer word in ’n mensse lewe. “Dit gaan oor die bietjie beter ver-staan.”

Stil gemoed“Dit gaan oor daai kere wat jy sit en jy

jou kop net knip en jy besef: ‘Ja, ek ver-staan’.” Hy sê ’n mens neem die wêreld be-ter waar as jy ’n stil gemoed het.WeetStil is by Coffee Stained Vinyl Stu-

dios deur TeeJay Terblanche en RichardOnraet opgeneem.

Hy wou aanvanklik ’n groot simfonieserockklank, soos die musiek van PatrickWatson, gehad het, maar die vervaardi-gers het besluit dat Pieter se klavierklankso uniek is dat hulle nie daaraan wou ver-ander nie.

“Die hele verwerking van die album isbaie eenvoudig gedoen, sodat die kuns ag-ter die musiek na vore kan kom.”

Wanneer hy nie sy eie musiek sing nie,

is Pieter ’n vryskut-musiekregisseur. Hytoer baie na skole om met hul skoolpro-duksies te help, maar wat hom die besigstehou, is sy werk saam met die kabaretsan-ger, Danièle Pascal. Hy speel al tien jaarsaam met haar.

Hy is ook betrokke by die Project En-semble saam met Renate Riedemann enJacques Louw, en hy tree gereeld op met’n nuwe kunstenaar, André Terblanche.

WoordfeesPieter het sy musiek in Maart Woord-

fees toe gevat en is vir ’n Woordfees-trofeein die kontemporêre musiek-kategorie ge-nomineer – saam met groot name soos Da-vid Kramer en Laurika Rauch.

Pieter het in Januarie al begin repeteervir sy vertoning, en sê hy was nog nooitvoor ’n optrede só voorberei nie.

Cape cyclists ready for SA champsProvincial colours were recently awar-

ded to the Western Cape track cyclingteam ahead of the South African Track

and Para-Cycling Championships to takeplace in Durban from 29 April to 3 May.

TheWestern Cape has an active track pro-gramme and the teamwas selected based onperformances at the Western Cape champi-onships and trials held at the Bellville Velo-drome.

This is the first time aWestern Cape teamhas been selected as previously, Cape teams

were split into Boland, WP, West Coast andSouth Western Districts.

The Western Cape has a very strong teamthis yearwith athletes such asnational teamriders Jeanne Smith and Kyle Borchjesspearheading the men’s elite team. Both Ja-co Scholtz and PeterWheeler, who represen-tedSouthAfrica at theMastersWorldCham-pionships in Manchester, will be riding inthemaster’s team.The full teamranges fromu-16 tomasters and also includes a strong la-dies section. Niggling injuries“As with any sport I struggle with one or

two niggling injuries but it’s nothing seri-ous. I do a lot of gymwork, especially in theoff-season, and when I prepare for competi-tion my preparation involves a lot of run-ning, work on the medicine ball and lightgym work.”His goals for the future is set - travel to

asmany countries as possible and compete.“Competing in the Olympic Games will

be the ultimate, and I believe I can reachthe 90m plus mark. It will be great to sayit is my job to be a professional athlete.“God gave me this talent, and it’s my res-
