AutoCAD 2013, the 28th release of AutoCAD software, increases efficiency with across-the-board

improvements to bring productivity up and lag time down.

VISI-Modeling integrates both solids and surface

modeling environments in a friendly and complete

approach to 3D design.

VISI-Design represents the fifth generation of CAD

software developed by a programming team that has maintained its objective of

providing practical and productive aids for the

mechanical design engineer.

Page 10: Uelner Powerpoint 6-22-16

UTD utilizes the latest CAD/CAM systems. Our CAD design integrates with our Cam system with feature recognition. This allows UTD to design dies where the CAM system recognizes features and programs machines automatically. This feature speeds time for

manufacturing and minimizes human error. With pre-stage tooling, we go from design to finish component with fewer steps. This system comes equipped with state-or-the-art solids and 3D machining and

programming with minimum hand finish work.

Uelner Precision Tools and Dies is always reaching for the future.

JobBOSS:JobBOSS is a software suite used to control a host of office and shop floor functions including shipping, inventory, accounting, payroll, labor tracking, and active jobs. 90% of JobBOSS is functional at this time and is expected to be fully implemented at the end of 2nd quarter 16’. Utilizing Kanban and JobBOSS, UTD is able to predict the amount of material to order for our JIT production, while accurately tracking on-hand parts. This greatly improves our ERP. We have also implemented a visual board to track jobs on the floor. First in First out based on deadlines/due dates.

TS-16949: We are in the process of implementing TS-16949. We are on track to have certification by the end of 2016.

Deep Draw Can Line: UTD has identified a need for deep draw production in the Midwest and we have built a system to address those needs. This system is functional and now available for production.

Press Capabilities: UTD is in the process of setting up our 3 axis transfer system for our 1500 ton bliss press, this could be available for production by the end of 2016.

CNC: UTD has purchased both a water jet and CNC lathe to speed die set construction in 2014 and are using them on a regular basis.

Building Expansion: UTD has developed a footprint for expanding our current facilities should the need arise. Our plans include a large production area with many different sized presses to ensure we can meet every customers needs and continue to run at a max of 80% capacity.

UTD is always investigating opportunities to add services we can provide to our customers. UTD would be pleased to discuss any known needs you may have.

The future home of Uelner Precision Tools

and Dies

Uelner Precision Tools and Dies is surveying the future. UTD’s plans are to expand to a new area adjacent to the current building. This will more than triple our current production floor

space. We will expand our many modern technologies including robotic welding,

large semi-automated presses, underground

conveyors, and streamlined production procedures.

The large addition shown on the right is but one more step in the history of our

company. We are proud to be a successful partner with many businesses and this expansion will be a great benefit not only to us but

also to them.

Page 19: Uelner Powerpoint 6-22-16

This will be the finished

building.
