一 .UL 简介一 .UL 简介
1890 年代，美国许多城市发生连串严重火灾，原因归咎于电器设备及电线走火。为了避免悲剧再次发生，威廉斯．梅瑞尔先生于 1894 年创办了「承保电机工程局」即「国家火险部电机工程局」的前身。 UL 以仅有两位员工及价值 350 美元的测试设备，于同年 3 月 24 日批发第一份测试报告。 1901 年，梅瑞尔先生一手创办的工程局改组成美国安全检测实验室公司（ Underwriters Laboratories Inc. ），并将测试领域扩展至电子电机以外。

1, UL 列名标记
