When Ontario, Canada rockers Finger Eleven decided to start writing the follow‐up to their 2010 album Life Turns

Electric, the band members all agreed they wanted to do something different, they just weren’t exactly sure what the

wanted to do. Since their formation in high school in 1990 (as Rainbow Butt Monkeys), the musicians, Scott Anderson

(vocals), James Black (guitar), Rick Jackett (guitar) and Sean Anderson (bass) had released six full‐length albums –

including the Juno‐Award winning Them Vs. You Vs. Me ‐‐ and experimented with a variety of styles such as hard rock

classic rock, heavy blues and textural pop. So, over a two‐and‐a‐half year period, they decided to try a bit of everythin

over a multitude of writing sessions. The end result, “Five Crooked Lines”.

The first Western for preschoolers, “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West” follows Callie, a loveable kitty cat sheriff, her deputy woodpecker Peck, and

their sweet-natured cactus sidekick, Toby, as they watch over their pleasant little frontier town of Nice and Friendly Corners. Utilizing the

folklore of the Old West, each episode in the animated series features two 11-minute stories that focus on character building and being a

good friend and neighbor. Whether teaching Peck a lesson about good sportsmanship through a game of horseshoes, or helping her hors

Sparky regain his confidence after he slips and falls during a barrel race, Callie always comes to the aid of her townsfolk and in the proces

imparts lessons about good morals, manners and social ethics for kids age 2-7. Reinforcing the lessons is a trio of comical prairie dogs w

sing little ditties throughout each episode.

“Sheriff Callie’s Wild West” charted new territory when it premiered on the WATCH Disney Junior app in November 2013. The first series

across Disney | ABC Television Group to premiere multiple episodes online and on mobile devices before its television debut, it amassed

over 23-million views. The series then launched on the 24-hour Disney Junior channel in January 2014.

Recorded in Hammond Jr.'s home in upstate New York in a converted barn he calls One Way Studios, the album's name derives from a

has done just that. In a recent interview Paper Mag , Hammond Jr. discusses his new domesticity and it's influence on his third record. "H

Too often, bands are handed major label deals and instant success without having to work for it. There is nothing to be

proud of with a handout. Knuckle Puck is not that kind of band. Their hard work and deter mination is poured into their

There’s no one way to describe Mas Ysa (pronounced maas ee‐sa). The creation of Canadian musician Thomas Arsenault embraces

cutting‐edge electronic music, but owes plenty to traditional songwriting; songs that are made to pack a dance floor flow seamlessly in

harrowing ballads. The entirety of this spectrum is apparent on his debut album Seraph, out July 24, 2015.

While Seraph is his first full‐length record, Arsenault is no newcomer. In 2013, after playing shows supporting Purity Ring and

Deerhunter, the first Mas Ysa track, “Why,” was released and named a “Best New Track” by Pitchfork. The following year the Worth EP

came out, nabbing another “Best New Track” nod for the song “Shame” and propelling Arsenault into the international spotlight.
