Welcome in Dolo!

Luci in Riviera è un evento unico inItalia, il solo che racconti con la luce le suggestioni evocate dal patrimonioculturale della Riviera del Brenta, lavia d’acqua che unisce Padova aVenezia.

"Un mondo di luce" è il motto diquest’anno, una semplice filosofiache ci permetterà di condividere labellezza e scoprire il nostro territorioin modo diverso, grazie a eventi diluce giocosi e non convenzionali.

Le installazioni luminose sarannoprogettate tenendo soprattutto inconsiderazione la percezione umana,ovvero il principio che illuminarebene non significa illuminare troppo,né abbagliare le persone.

Il lighting design workshop saràdedicato a studenti e giovaniprofessionisti, italiani e stranieri, ediventerà occasione per acquisireconoscenze teoriche e pratiche nellaprogettazione con la luce.

Eventi collaterali nelle Ville e nellacittà completeranno una originaleofferta turistica.

Restituire ai cittadini ed ai turisti lastoria, la bellezza, l’arte e la culturadella Riviera del Brenta è il fine diquesto nostro progetto.

Luci in Riviera is the only event inItaly that aims to tell with light thesuggestions recalled by Brenta’scultural heritage, the waterway thatlinks Padua and Venice.

"Un mondo di luce" (in English, Aworld of light is the theme selected)for this year’s edition. It is a simplephilosophy, but it will allow us toshare the beauty and to discover ourterritory in a different way, thanksto playful events of unconventionallights.

The light installations will bed e s i g n e d h u m a nt h i n k i n g t operception ood lighting doesfirst. Gnot mean illuminating too much, orglare people.

The lighting workshop will offer toItalian and foreign students andyoung professionals the opportunityto acquire theoretical and practicalknowledge in lighting design.

Collateral events in the Villas and inthe cit will completey this originaltourist offer.

T is to restorehe aim of our project tothe citizens and tourists the history,the beauty, the art and the culture ofRiviera Brentadel .

Cos’è il lighting workshop Luciin Riviera?

È un evento educativo nato allo scopodi far acquisire conoscenze teoriche epratiche nel lighting design e checulmina nella realizzazione di unprogetto di illuminazione in scalareale, con la guida di workshop head(mentori), ovvero lighting designerprofessionisti.

Due sono i momenti principali:

� il progetto, i mock-up (prove) insito, la presentazione del conceptal cliente (la città di Dolo) e larealizzazione delle installazioni;

� l’apertura al pubblico e visitagratuita ai siti delle installazioniluminose;

What is Luci in Riviera'sworkshop?

It is an educational event and its aimis to provide theoretical andpractical knowledge in lightingdesign, so to complete the process ofa full-scale project under theguidance of professional lightingdesigners.

There are two main moments:

� the conceptual work, mock-upson site, presentation of theconcept to the client (the city ofDolo) and installation of theequipment;

� the public exhibition of thelighting installations .

H e l e n a è u n a l i g h t i n g d e s i g n e rindipendente italo-brasiliana che lavorain Italia e all'estero. La sua esperienza nelcomprende il settore pubblico e privato,nonché i contesti contemporanei di artedell'illuminazione. Attualmente è ChiefLighting Designer per Ivoryedge IoTSolutions Provider, a Bangalore (IND),dove coordina e sviluppa diversi progettidi lighting design integrati con soluzionidi automazione basate sull'Internet ofthings in diversi campi di applicazione,quali residenziale e ospitalità, culturale,siti storici, illuminazione urbana e spazicommerciali. Ha una formazione inarchitettura e urbanistica, un Master inLighting Design e un dottorato inArchitectural and Urban Design nelq u a l e h a a p p r o f o n d i t o i l r u o l odel l ' i l luminazione art ificia le nelpanorama notturno contemporaneo. Èstata professore a contratto presso ilMaster in Lighting Design & LedTechnology del Politecnico di Milano ed èstata invitata come docente a seminari eworkshop nazionali ed internazionali.Dal 2014 è membro dell’AssociazioneProfessionisti dell'Illuminazione (APIL).

At the moment, sheis the Chief Lighting Designer forIvoryedge IoT Solutions Provider, inBangalore (IND) where coordinates anddevelops several lighting design projectsintegrated with automations solutionsbased on Internet of things for differentfields of application such as residentialand hospitality, cultural heritage sites,urban lighting and commercial spaces.She has an architectural and urbanismbackground studies with a Masterdegree in Lighting Design and aDoctorate in Architectural and UrbanDesign with the aim to further study therole of art ificial l ight ing in thecontemporary nocturnal landscape. Shewas an adjunct professor at the Masterin Lighting Design & Led Technologyfrom Politecnico di Milano and has beeninvited as a lecturer at international andnational seminars and workshops. Since2014, she is a member of APIL (ItalianLighting Designers' Association).

Natalia MarkevichLighting Designer

Natal ia è una Lighting Designerindipendente che lavora sia in Russia cheall'estero.L a u r e a t a s i a l M P E I ( I s t i t u t o d iIngegneria Energetica di Mosca) esuccessivamente in Graphic Design nelBritish Higher School of Art and Designdi Mosca, si perfeziona in Interior Designin University of Arts di Londra. Possiedevasta esperienza nell'illuminazionepubblica e privata, nel design degliinterni e degli esterni e nell'illuminazionedelle città. Ha lavorato su progetti di scaladiversa, come lo Stadio di Krasnodar, laMIMI Castle Winery in Moldavia, ilLighting Masterplan di Mosca e moltialtri.Ha fondato e attualmente cura il corso diLighting Design presso la MARCH -Moscow Architectural School (il primo diquesto tipo in Russia) con l'obiettivo diunire pensiero progettuale, tecnica edapproccio creativo nel Lighting Design.N a t a l i a t i e n e a n c h e s e m i n a r i emasterc lass sul l ight ing des ign .

Natalia is an independent Lighting Designer who works in Russia and abroad.Having background in electrical engineering (diploma in MPEI -Moscow Power Engineering Institute), followed with Graphic Design diploma in British Higher School of Art and Design, Moscow and Interior Design courses in University of Arts, London, Natalia gain a solid experience working with companies such as Arup Lighting, Delta Light, MARCH etc.Her field of experience in lighting involves public and private sectors, interior and exterior design and cities lighting masterplanning. Her portfolio includes such projects as Krasnodar Football Stadium; MIMI Castle Winery, Moldova; Lighting Masterplans for Moscow origin cities and others. Natalia was invited to found and curate the course of Lighting Design in Moscow Architectural School MARCH. This course is the first course of Lighting Design of this type in Russia that aimed to bring together design thinking, engineering and creative approach in Lighting Design.Natalia also delivers lectures and masterclass about lighting design.

Jan è professore emerito e architettoMSA. Ha fondato nel 2000 ilLighting Laboratory presso KTH(Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan -Istituto Reale di Tecnologia diStoccolma) dove ha curato il Masterinternazionale ed il programma diricerca. È consulente nello stessoIstituto dal 2014. Ha insegnato anchepresso la Konstfack (UniversityCollege of Arts Crafts and Design) epresso la Linnaeus University,Design Department, Kalmar / Växjö.Jan ha lavorato sul Museo di ArteModerna, l’Aeroporto di Arlanda, ilMasterplan per Royal Djurgården diStoccolma nonchè l’Ufficio del PrimoMinistro e le Ambasciate svedesi diTokyo, Madrid e Helsinki.Vincitore di diversi premi , è Membrodi diversi comitati tecnici, deiTransnational Lighting Detectives(Tanteidan) ed ha ricoperto il ruolodi Presidente della ProfessionalLighting Designers’ Association(PLDA).

Dori t è una esperta Light ingDesigner e una istruttrice certificatache lavora in Israele e all'estero.Ha studiato design industriale econseguito un BFA in scenografia edun MFA in design e stage lightingpresso l'Università di Tel Aviv.Si è specializzata negli Stati Unitinell'illuminazione architettonica e,in particola modo, in quella museale.Dorit ha ricevuto borse di studio dalMinistero dell'Istruzione israeliano,dalla fondazione USA-Israele e dalMinistero Francese della Cultura. Èstata premiata più volte in diversicontesti internazionali: (p.e., perl'illuminazione e le scenografie diAcca e in altri festival israeliani) e perl'insegnamento dell'ArchitecturalLighting Design alla ProfessionalLighting Design Conference (PLDC)di Roma. Ha partecipato a workshopin India e in Europa, in particolare adAlingsås/S, dove ha ricoperto il ruolodi workshop head nel 2013.

Dorit is a experienced LightingDesigner and a certified educatorwho works in Israel and abroad.She earned a BFA in stage designand a MFA from Tel Aviv University.She also studied Industrial designand became specialized in museumand architectural lighting in USA.Dorit received fellowships from theIsraeli Ministry of Education, theUSA-Israel foundation and theFrench Ministry of Culture.She was awarded for Excellence inseveral international architecturallighting design workshops (i.e.,Akko and other Israel festivals. In2015 she was awarded recognizingher excellence in teaching duringProfessional Lighting DesignConference in Rome.Dorit participated in syllabussetting for international lightingdesign workshops in India andEurope, especially in Alingsas/Swhere she served as Workshop Headin 2013.
