Using “ 了” to talk about things that have happened

1. Add “ 了”（ lē ） behind the verb to make a statement

Yesterday I played soccer, practiced speaking Chinese, ate meals... Zuó tiān wǒ tī lē zú qiú ， liàn xí lē shuō zhōng wén, chī lē fàn. Change the verb phrases to past tense:xí zǎo:____________ chī zǎo fàn__________Xiě rì jì____________ xiě zuò yè__________

Negative

2. Do not add “ 了” for negative sentences, such as “didn’t, haven’t…”, because it didn’t or hasn’t happen. You use 没有“ méi yǒu” Yesterday I didn’t play soccer, practice speaking Chinese.Zuó tiān wǒ méi yǒu tī zú qiú, méi yǒu liàn xí shuō zhōng wén 。Translate the verb phrases:
