This invention concerns itself with the treatment and cure of candidiasis and wasting syndromeAIDS $atients with Tetrasil . These two grou$s account for a$$roximately one third of AIDScases.

Stedman s Medical Dictionary (*illiams *ilHen s 79th Cd.# 3665! defines wasting syndrome)as a condition of 3'J weight loss in con%unction with diarrhea or fever . . . Associated withAIDS ($. 3?44!.)

B>CFTS = T,C I;@C;TI ;

The main ob%ect of the invention is to $rovide for a molecular scale device of a single tetrasilver

tetroxide crystalline molecule ca$able of restoring the immunity of AIDS afflicted humans of thetwo AIDS etiological subgrou$s# candidiasis and wasting syndrome.

Another ob%ect of the invention is to $rovide for immunity restoration in said AIDS afflictedhumans through a single in%ection.

Another ob%ect of this invention is to destroy ISM in humans manifesting AIDS diseases of saidAIDS etiological subgrou$s irres$ective as to whether said ISM was ,I@ induced# since it isHnown that humans may manifest AIDS and still be ,I@ negative# and thus restore the immunesystem in said humans.

Another ob%ect of this invention is to destroy the AIDS virus when $resent in the systems of saidAIDS afflicted humans.

SGMMA-N = T,C I;@C;TI ;

This invention relates to a molecular scale device not only ca$able of destroying the AIDS virus# but of $urging the human bloodstream of $athogens and restoring immunity to AIDS $atients ofthe candidiasis and wasting syndrome categories. Said molecular device consists of a singlecrystal of tetrasilver tetroxide (Ag.sub.4 .sub.4!. The crystal lattice of this molecule has auni&ue structure since it is a diamagnetic semiconducting crystal containing two mono and twotrivalent silver ions# which in effect are ca$able of )firing) electrons under certain conditionswhich will destroy AIDS viruses# other $athogens and immune su$$ressing moieties (ISM!# notonly through the electrocution mode# but also by a binding $rocess which occurs simultaneouslywith electron firing# namely# binding and chelation of divalent silver# i.e.# the resulting $roduct of the electron transfer redox that occur when the monovalent silver ions are oxidi"ed and thetrivalent ions are reduced in the crystal. The binding1chelation effect occurs at active sites of the

AIDS virus# $athogens and ISM. Because of the extremely minute si"e of a single molecule ofthis crystal# several million of these devices may be em$loyed in concert to destroy a viruscolony to $urge a life su$$ort system of ISM and $athogens with the consum$tion of only $arts

$er trillion of the crystal devices. Thus an o$timum of 4' M of the devices by weight ofhuman blood was found to be sufficient to com$letely obliterate AIDS. This concentration isslightly over double of the o$timum concentration recommended in a$$licant s aforementionedG.S. $atent for the destruction of the human AIDS virus in vitro. ther details concerning thestructure of the crystal and its mechanism against $athogens# the AIDS virus and ISM wouldanalogously hold here# and have already been further elucidated in said $atent.

The actual destruction of $athogens# ISM and the AIDS virus is effectuated by in%ection of asus$ension of these devices in distilled or deioni"ed water with a non+reacting electrolytedirectly# i.e. intravenously# into the bloodstream. A single in%ection is all that is re&uired underthese conditions. Accordingly# humans in%ected in this manner# u$on being ins$ected after three

weeHs or more had ela$sed and com$ared with similar humans that had been given $lacebos#were com$letely cured of AIDS. The control grou$ still manifested AIDS. Accordingly# thetetrasilver tetroxide device $erformed in concert with and in full conformity with the ultimateob%ects of this invention. =urthermore# three out of four wasting syndrome terminal $atients andfour out of the five candidiasis terminal $atients were still alive in 3665 after a year and a halfhad ela$sed from their initial in%ection. By that time all the AIDS $atients had been released fromthe clinic and allowed to return home.

ther ob%ects and features of the $resent invention shall become a$$arent to those sHilled in theart when the $resent invention is considered in view of the accom$anying exam$les. It should# of

course# be recogni"ed that the accom$anying exam$les illustrate $referred embodiments of the $resent invention and are not intended as a means of defining the limits and sco$e of the $resentinvention.

=ive $atients afflicted with AIDS of the candidiasis etiological category were segregated forTetrasil treatment. The rationale for selecting them was based on facts $resented in an article by

eter ,. Duesberg and Brian >. Cllison entitled )Is The AIDS @irus A Science =iction ) ( olicy-eview# Summer 366' $$. 4'+53!. nly the factual $resentations of the article were utili"ed andthe hy$othesis of the authors was ignored. The facts $resented in the article related to the methodof selecting AIDS $atients based on the five aforementioned etiological subgrou$s targeted bythe FDF# and the evidence $resented# that there is AIDS without ,I@ as well as with it so that ananti+viral agent in most instances will not necessarily restore the immunity system.

Cvaluations with Tetrasil were conducted on AIDS $atients at Kucha Fontra el Sida#Fomayaguela# ,onduras. The $atients two weeHs $rior to inoculation were removed from their

APT# AIDS thera$y. Tetrasil was administered at a$$roximately 4' M of blood volume $er $atient as a sus$ension in a $ro$rietary buffer solution ($,/9.5!# su$$lied by ,oli$harmFor$oration.

The results of evaluations with candidiasis are tabulated in Table I under its disease category. All $atients evaluated were terminal. Some# however# were in moderate (m! condition and others in $oor ($! as designated in the Table. The I and = designations refer to initial and final values asshown. *BF indicates white cell blood count. The , column# following FD # indicates whether he$atomegaly occurred. This was an unfortunate conse&uence of the treatment which resulted inenlarged livers in all $atients exce$t the second one. Des$ite he$atomegaly# there was nointerference with liver function.

The onset of he$atomegaly was not s$ontaneous and varied from $atient to $atient# being in therange of 4+39 days.

It should also be noted that shortly after in%ection of Tetrasil there were indications of fever(symboli"ed by T in the Ag.sub.4 .sub.4 column!# sometimes accom$anied by fatigue (=!. The

body tem$erature was invariably 2 .5.degree. F. (3'3.2.degree. =.!. This was indicative ofrestoration of the immune res$onse of the body# since normally the body will destroy $athogenswhen the immune system is functional by raising the tem$erature. The $atient who died8 firstres$onded favorably to Diflucan# which $reviously gave no res$onse. ,e was cured of hiscandidiasis# but unfortunately succumbed to his $revious body damage. All the other candidiasissyndrome $eo$le who $reviously did not res$ond to the indicated medications subse&uentlyres$onded after the Tetrasil treatment. =urther evidence of the recovery of the AIDS $atients

manifested itself 2' days after the initial in%ection when white blood cell counts were taHen. Theyare shown in Table I under the *BF column# which gives the initial and final *BF. Allcandidiasis $atients showed a dramatic increase in their white blood cell counts# indicative of therestoration of their immunity systems.

The above $rotocol of Cxam$le 3 was re$eated with AIDS $atients exhibiting wasting syndrome.The results of their treatment are tabulated in Table I under the disease category of saidsyndrome. It should be noted that two of the four wasting syndrome $atients showed im$rovedwhite blood counts. The female $atient# whose condition im$roved from $oor and terminal to beamong the living# showed a decrease in the *BF. ,owever# she showed an increase in bodytem$erature which was indicative of immune res$onse. The test results indicate that one cannotrely on a single factor to indicate the demise of AIDS. The usual ,I@ marHer FD 4 initial andfinal are irrelevant. ISM su$$ression a$$ears to be more critical than the destruction of ,[email protected] was su$$ressed# any $ermanent damage that had been done to the $atients in the course oftheir succumbing to AIDS was not obviously cured or corrected by said crystal device treatment#
