THE BEGINNING

Back in 2010 with the start of Mouda Super Thermal Power Project, a

bunch of socially motivated engineers made an attempt for creating

sustained impact by educating the children of nearby villages.

This passion led to the formation of UPAY (Under Privileged

Advancement by Youth) which serves as a platform for the like minded

individuals to help the needful.

In Sept 2011, UPAY became a registered NGO under The Societies

Registration Act, 1860 & Mumbai Public Trusts Act, 1950.

With the course of time many more people got associated & today UPAY

is a fully functional NGO in Kumbhari and Rahadi.

Presently UPAY has its presence in Kumbhari & Rahadi villages.

UPAY is working in Rihand & Shakti Nagar in association with

PRAYAS.

Over 200 children are enrolled for daily classes.

Two permanent teachers appointed to ensure continuity of classes.

Tremendous performance by 10th board students with highest

percentage being 78.18%.

Games, cultural events, educational visits & motivational classes

have been organized time to time for overall development.

To help develop underprivileged children of project affected villages in all aspects of life so that they can come at par with the outside world. Mission 2013-

To ensure overall development of Kumbhari & Rahadi children.To achieve greater heights in board results.To secure admission of 5th class children in Navodaya Vidyalaya.To spread the organization covering more areas.
