Technology Enabled Care in Mental Health • Take up of digital technology to improve outcomes in mental health has
been slower than in other settings.
• Research is beginning to demonstrate it can produce equivalent outcomes to traditional face-to-face treatments and can reduce hospital admissions.
• One of the first large-scale 4-years prospective studies of telehealth in mental health, psychiatric hospitalisation was reduced by up to 25% (Godleski and Ritchie, 2012).
• People using digital technology solutions in mental health settings report high levels of satisfaction due and a greater sense of control over their treatment.
