    Cng ty c c khch hng trc tip (nhng ngi trao tin hoc hng i lysn phm hay dch v ca cng ty) v c khch hng gin tip (nhng ngi nhnsn phm ca cng ty t nhng trung gian). Khch hng gin tip c thngch hn khch hng trc tip, mc d sn phm ca cng ty c th tri qua s

    bin i trng thi trong qu trnh sn xut v ngi tiu dng gin tip khng thnhn bit c sn phm . Nh tho lun phn sau, ch trng vo khchhng trc tip thng c gi l y trong khi ch trng vo khch hnggin tip c gi l ko.

    Vic tho lun nh ngha khch hng cho thy khch hng c thc xem xt c cp vm ln vi m. Khch hng cp vm hin din trong cc t chc nh h gianh, doanh nghip, v cc cquan chnh ph; khch hng c nhn cp vi m ngnhiu vai tr khc nhau trong cc quyt nh mua hng. Hiu r c nhng mi quan hvai tr ny trong cc n v ra quyt nh (DMU) l ti cn thit i vi ngi bn.

    Nhng vai tr tiu biu l:

    Ngi gc cng: L c nhn c kh nng cn trvic tip cn n ngi ra quytnh v nhng ngi gy nh hng khc. Trong nhiu t chc, th k, tr l hnhchnh v cc nhn vin mua hng ng vai tr ny.

    Ngi gy nh hng: L c nhn c kin m ngi ra quyt nh nh gi caotrong khi ngi a ra quyt nh. Nhng c nhn ny c th c cc mc nhhng khc nhau i vi quyt nh mua hng c th. i vi mt ngi mua cnhn, bn b hay ng nghip l nhng ngi gy nh hng; trong gia nh, ty vosn phm hay dch v, ngi gy nh hng c th l chng, vhay con ci. Khi cct chc mua hng, nhiu c nhn t nhng b phn chc nng khc nhau c th gy

    nh hng. Ngoi ra, nhng ngi khc c thng vai tr nh hng bao gm cchip hi ngi tiu dng, nhng nh lm lut, quan chc chnh ph, chnh tr gia, tvn v nhng bn hng.

    Ngi xc lp tiu chun: L ngi c nh hng gin tip i vi vic mua hngxut pht t vai tr ca anh ta hay c ta trong vic xc lp cc quy cch phm cht,mc d h c th khng chnh thc lin quan n chnh quyt nh . Chng hn,khi a ra quyt nh lin quan n nh , kin trc s c thng vai tr ny; trongmt t chc, c th l k s.

    Ngi ra quyt nh: L c nhn chnh thc c quyn ra quyt nh. Ngi mua: L c nhn c kh nng hon tt hnh ng mua hng vi nh cung cp.

    K ph bnh: L ngi c gng ngn khng cho cng ty bn hng. C th, y lnhn vin c bt mn hay l ngi c ng anh r lm vic cho i th cnh tranh!

    Qu trnh nhn bit vn din ra khi khch hng (c nhn, n v gia nh hay tchc) nhn ra cu hay nhu cu. Nhng nhu cu ny c th khc nhau v tm quan trng,t nhng nhp lng ct yu gi cho h thng vn hnh tt chng hn nhn v

    thc ung cho c nhn, nguyn liu v t liu sn xut i vi cc t chc cho n nhngth c tnh ty chn hn. Khch hng c th nhn bit vn , vn c thc nhcung cp tim nng ch ra hay n c thc pht trin v gt gia li khi qu trnh muahng din ra.
