Marine Plywood IS:710

Kanchan Ply is available in Moisture Resistant (MR) and

Boiling Water Resistant (BWR) grades. Both the grades are

used for the interior and exterior woodworking application.

ISI marked M.R. grade plywood is bonded with Melamine

Urea Formaldehyde Synthetic Resin. While the BWR grade

plywood is bonded with Fortified Phenol Formaldehyde

Synthetic Resin as per standards of IS: 848:1974 under

controlled temperature and pressure with requisite timing

to obtain unmatched bonding.

Kanchan Plywood is used in any application that needs high

quality wooden sheet material. High quality in this context

means resistance to cracking, breaking, shrinkage, twisting

and warping.

the finished plywood is subjected to proper chemical treatment with water-soluble fixed type preservatives under

vacuum pressure to ensure protection against wood destroying organism and to make the product insects,

borer, termites and fungi free. This specific stress relieving treatment is also given to check anti-warp properties

of plywood, which make them dimensionally stable in both excessive wet and dry condition throughout their life.

Now-a-days, instead of using the normal plywood,

Block Board IS:1659

Ultra Power Blockboard

The Kanchan Ultra Power Block Board is a premium quality board with high resistant properties against borer

and termite attacks. All the three components of this block board i.e. Face Veneer, Core Veneer & wooden

battens are well matched. The wooden battens are thoroughly seasoned in scientifically run seasoning kiln plants

and then cut with great precision to obtain uniform thickness.

These battens are systematically arranged and utmost care is taken to avoid any extra gap between the battens.

Regular tests are conducted to maintain the quality of block boards as per the standards of IS:1659.

Advantages of Kanchan Block board: � Frames and Battens are used after proper treatment and

seasoning. � The width of battens are as per IS:1659, i.e. 25 to 30mm. � The assembled block board (a central

core of a wooden frame, two cross bands and two face veneers) are pressed in hot press with resin mixed with

anti-termite borer chemical under high temperature and pressure. � The finished board is again treated with

preservative chemical at temperature of more than 60 degree celcius � Finished and lab tested boards have

Densified Film Face Plywood IS:4990Kanchan Film face densified shuttering plywood is a product for high-end construction use. The phenolic film plywood has

Flush Door IS:2202Kanchan BWP flush door is a durable product and

known for its excellent quality, exceptional finish and

unique dimensional stability. It is made of selected

hardwood frames and accurate battens. It is evenly

constructed with same species of timber that provide

a longer life. BWP grade of Phenol Formaldehyde resin

is used for bonding the layers.

It has extra lock rail that provides great strength to the

handles and knobs. Its hardwood frames provide

strength for fitting of hinges and anti deviation

resistance. A complete testing of Flush doors enables

the company to render assured strength, safety and

peace. These flush doors are shop-floor tested and

conforms to IS: 2202 specification.

Treated Doors with Hot & cold

Diffusing technology:

Kanchan doors are treated with Hot & Cold diffusion

technology which gives it the ultimate resistant

properties to hold back the product from the attacks of

borers and termites. Unlike ordinary flush door, treated

Kanchan flush doors are capable of sustaining itself

from the impact of attacks, rendering greater value to

the product, in terms of life and usability.

Kanchan FFDSP has several advantages

over ordinary film faced ply:

�It gives more number of repetitions.

�Provides smooth surface to concrete form work.

�It is economical in ratio to its number of uses.

Certain measures if followed can

enhance the life of FFDSP:

Designer Laminated Doors

Kanchan Laminated Designer doors are recommended where absolute face aesthetic uniformity is desired.

These doors are laminated with high-pressure laminate sheet of 1mm and 0.8mm on a calibrated base door. The

base door is manufactured by seasoned battens and frames with waterproof PF resin. Laminate doors are

available in a wide range of designs, using high quality laminate sheet for zero maintenance and long life.
