VIGIPROD® is a non-contact dimensional control system specifically designed for use in harsh environment. It consists of one controller and one or several measuring optical sensors. Measurements are performed by infrared optical sensors (shadowgraphy method). A transmitter delivers a beam of light which is partially obscured by the part being controlled while a receiver measures the beam obscuring ratio/ The control unit automatically calculates the position of the part in the optical field.
