La Mondanità e lo Splendore di Casa FlorioLa fine dell’Ottocento rappresentò laPrimavera Siciliana. Ignazio Florio acquistòuna villa privata appartenente a Sir Domville per realizzare una casa di cura presto convertita in lussuoso hotel.Nell’estate del 1898 i Florio conobberoil famoso pittore Giovanni Boldini cherealizzò, durante il suo soggiorno nella Villa, un ritratto “Dell’Unica” nome dato da Gabbriele D’Annunzio a Donna Franca Florio.Oggi il quadro si trova nell’omonimoristorante dove lo si può ammirare in tutto il suo splendore.

Ignazio Floriobought a private villa belonged to SirDomville to create an exclusive healthcentre converted into a luxurious hotel.In summer 1898 the Florios met thefamous painter Giovanni Boldini. While hestayed in Villa Igiea he portrayed a paintingof "The Unique" as the famous poetGabriele D’Annunzio used to name DonnaFranca Florio.
