But the good news is …
When you feel yourself losing it 1. STOP! 2. Count to 10 -‐ SLOWLY 3. What am I thinking? 4. What am I feeling? 5. What do I want now? 6. How am I gehng in my own way? 7. What do I need to do differently now?
60 second tranquilliser • Say firmly but silently to yourself – “TAKE CONTROL”.
• Repeat – “I CAN DO ANYTHING I WANT TO” and breath out slowly.
• Slowly breathe in through your nose, out through pursed lips. • PAUSE.
• Slowly repeat for 6-‐8 breaths over the minute with the breath out being slightly longer than the breath in.
• Say to yourself each ;me – “I AM BREATHING IN PEACE AND BLOWING AWAY TENSION”.
• Each ;me you breathe out, relax your face, jaw, shoulders and hands.
• Repeat for 3-‐5 minutes un;l you feel calm and relaxed.
