Now going into its thirty first year, this continuing education programme has been acclaimed not only by pharmacists throughout South Africa, but also by leading academics in the profession.This self-contained and fulfilling study series is devised to enhance your knowledge in a rapidly changing healthcare environment . It will provide an improved, more professional background to your

communications with both patient and doctor, leading to increased sales and an enhanced professional image.This course is open to all Alpha Pharm Retail Marketing pharmacists, pharmacist's assistants and interns FREE OF CHARGE! It is also available to non-Alpha Pharm members through the Pharmaceutical Society of SA for a fee of R2500 (incl. VAT), non-members of the PSSA R3200 (incl. VAT.) and Interns R2100 (incl. VAT.) per year. And now, an additional course is available for all front shop assistants: The Alpha Pharm Pharmacy Staff Clinical Education Programme.

Typically, each study module in the series consists of a detailed overview of a medical situation, its clinical aspects, incidence and appropriate treatment, followed by a multiple choice question section which is submitted for assessment . The interactive nature of the course is stressed in an explanatory guidebook which is available to all participants either electronically or by post.A certificate is issued upon completion of the course.

O b j e c t i v e sParticipation in the course will provide you with a commanding overview of current medical thinking to assist you in your daily tasks, to help you in your understanding of patients' problems and to enhance your communication with the medical profession. The material you will study will be international in its scope, stimulating, readily understood and fulfilling in its nature. It will provide the edge to your professionalism.

T h e C o u r s eThe enormous advantage of this course is that you can do it in your OWN TIME - even in the comfort of your OWN HOME. The programme comprises five study modules, in both English and Afrikaans, despatched at two monthly intervals during the period February to November. The study material has been designed with the busy pharmacy in mind and should not require more than about three hours per module. The accompanying questionnaire is then submitted by you for assessment, after which model answers and explanations are provided. At the end of the year a certificate is awarded to those who complete the course successfully.

E l e c t r o n i c A c c e s sThe Alpha Pharm CE study programme for pharmacists as well as the Pharmacy Staff Clinical Education Programme are also accessible on the internet to all enrolled participants . You are able to complete your multiple choice questions online (if you wish) and receive your results electronically.

Die studiemateriaal is internasionaal in bestek, stimulerend, maklik om te verstaan en vervullend van aard. Dit sal aan u 'n voorsprong in u professionalisme gee.

D i e k u r s u sDie grootste voordeel van hierdie kursus is dat u dit in u EIE TYD kan doen - selfs in die gemak van u EIE TUISTE. Die program bestaan uit vyf studiemodules, in Afrikaans sowel as Engels, en word met tussenposes van twee maande gedurende die tydperk Februarie tot November versend.
