Cashless Tolling Informational Open House
What is cashless tolling? Cash will no longer be accepted as payment
Tolls are collected electronically via E-ZPass® or Video Tolling, as motorists keep moving beneath overhead gantries
Technology already successfully used on the Intercounty Connector (ICC)/MD 200 in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties and the I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETL) in Baltimore

Ways to Pay E-ZPass Account*
E-ZPass Maryland customers receive discounts from 25% to 37.5% at most Maryland toll facilities
Discount plans available, reducing tolls by up to 65% (two-axle)
Transponders are free
No monthly fee for Maryland residents
Video Tolling If you travel through a Maryland toll plaza without an E-ZPass, an image of the vehicle’s license plate will be taken
A Notice of Toll Due will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle for the Video Toll due
Due to higher processing costs, the video toll rate is 50% higher than the current cash/base rate with a minimum of $1 and a maximum of $15 above the base rates
