Homework

▪ Homework is the responsibility of the student.

▪ It is assigned for such purposes as completing regular classroom assignments, reinforcing skills, learning responsibility, and developing creativity.

▪ Late assignments will result in the loss of points.

▪ Students should not call home for forgotten homework.

▪ Planners should be signed every Friday.

Students should expect 60 - 90 minutes of homework each night.

Our goal is for every child to be a successful independent reader.

Expectations:Students should read 20 to 30 min a night!

Book Projects: Each quarter students will have an independent book project to complete.

QuestQuest is a supplemental, independent reading program that enhances our reading curriculum and adds to our student’s love of literature.

Guidelines:

• Students will be encouraged to read and accumulate 100 points per semester.

• Quest will not be used towards report card effort, achievement, Honor Roll, or Leader-of-the-Pack.
