A highly efficient system
Machining steps perfectly matched to each
other are a the key for maximum cost-ef-
fectiveness in the manufacturing of cutting
tools. This is how a TOOLTEC production line
is able to combine a high level of productiv-
ity with extremely high quality. Further be-
nefits of the production line include short
set-up times and a high degree of flexibil-
ity of each individual machine. In addition,
JUNKER places strong emphasis on stand-
ardised interfaces, such as automation,
process data and remote diagnostics. The
JUNKER programming system JUWOP/W, in
connection with 3D simulation (JUWOP/VG),
creates the optimum conditions for effi-
cient use of TOOLTEC grinding technolo-
gies.
The line
QUICKPOINT 3000 Blank: Completely auto-
mated blank production from bar stock. All
steps, including feeding the blank rod and
chamfering, supporting the workpiece,
contour grinding, cutting and last but not
least proper stacking are carried out com-
pletely automatically.
FLUTEMAT: Straight and spiral flutes and
spiral points are ground with maximum
precision thanks to this highly-productive
machine concept.
TAPOMAT: Thread and chamfer are ground
in one clamping with two individual grind-
ing wheels. JUNKERs patent pending
process for all relief forms and sizes with
CNC-controlled relief movement creates
a maximum of flexibility. This opens new
possibilities in tool development.
RELIEF EXPERT: Relief measurement on
the thread flanks (each flank is measured
and logged separately), the outer thread
diameter and the chamfer for almost all
types of straight or spiral fluted thread
tools.

Genuine quality
Drills for professional use must ensure ab-
solute top quality, without neglecting the
cost factor. The JUNKER DRILLMAT achieves
this by means of grinding in one setup.
When the machine was developed, as much
emphasis was placed on extreme precision
as it was on quick retooling and maximum
flexibility.
The DRILLMATs individual machine struc-
ture guarantees maximum efficiency for
the production of any batch size.
The key technology
DRILLMAT grinds flutes, face geometry and
backs in one clamping. A rigid bushing and
steady rest ensures the necessary rigidity
during grinding operations and guarantees
for precision. Up to four grinding wheels
can be used for the various operations.
Profiling is also carried out on the machine,
which also guarantees for a consist high
quality.
