Vom 14. bis zum 20. Juli 2008 fand in Farnborough, England
die internationale Messe für die Bereiche Luftfahrttechnik, Raum-
fahrttechnik, Flugzeuge, Hubschrauber und Luftfahrtausrüstungen
statt. Neben den Ausstellungen in Paris, Berlin und Singapur ist sie
eine der wichtigsten Veranstaltungen der Branche und findet alle
zwei Jahre statt. Aufgrund des wechselnden Turnus mit Paris
ist Farnborough 2008 weltweit die größte Luftfahrtmesse.
Mit zirka 286.000 Besuchern an den sieben Messetagen wurden die
Zahlen von 2006 um 5,7 Prozent übertroffen. Zirka 1.500 Ausstel-
ler aus der ganzen Welt präsentierten sich auf dieser Messe.
Die GEDORE Gruppe war dieses Jahr
erstmalig mit einem Messestand
auf der Airshow vertreten. Ziel war es,
das neue Luft- und Raumfahrt Artikel-
programm vorzustellen.
Das Highlight des GEDORE Luftfahrt-
programms ist ein GEDORE Werkstatt-
wagen, der mit der RFID Technik aus-
gestattet ist.
Bei der RFID Technologie (Radio Frequency Identification) wird
der Wagen auf Vollständigkeit mittels Transponder überprüft.
Dies ist besonders wichtig für Arbeiten in sicherheitssensib-
len Bereichen wie der Luftfahrttechnik, in denen sichergestellt
werden muss, dass kein Werkzeug am Arbeitsort zurückbleibt.
Mitaussteller auf dem GEDORE Messestand war daher der führende
Anbieter der RFID Technik, die Firma Microsensys aus Erfurt.
Als weiteres Highlight wurde ein zwölfsei-
tiger Prospekt aus dem GEDORE Luftfahrt-
programm präsentiert. Die hier aufgeführten
Satzzusammenstellungen und das Check Tool
System wurden von allen Standbesuchern
gut angenommen.

Die Automechanika ist die internationale Leitmesse der Automobil-wirtschaft. Vom 16. bis zum 21. September 2008 werden in Frankfurt am Main wieder der Branche Werkstattausrüstungen, Fahrzeugteile, -komponenten und -systeme, Elektronik, Versorgung und Pfl ege bis hin zu Umwelt- und Recycling-Konzepten präsentiert.
Auch die GEDORE Gruppe als Hersteller hochwertiger Qualitäts-werkzeuge ist wieder mit einem Messestand in der Halle für Repair & Maintenance (u.a. Werkstattausrüstung) vertreten. An den sechs Messe-tagen informieren technische Berater und Handelsvertreter über Neu-heiten und Aktionen aus dem umfangreichen GEDORE Sortiment.Der Remscheider Werkzeughersteller stellt auf der Automechanikazwei bestückte Werkzeugwagen vor. Dabei wurde das bewährte Werkzeugwagen-Modell „2005“ einmal mit metrischen Werkzeugen für die Kraftfahrzeugwerkstätten und einmal mit metrischen und zölligen Werkzeugen für die Motorradwerkstätten zusammengestellt.In diesem Zusammenhang wurde auch eine Harley Davidson als Promotionbike umgebaut, um die Werkzeugzusammenstellung der Wagen zu testen. Das Design der GEDORE Harley wurde in den GEDORE Hausfarben Blau, Silber und Rot lackiert. Eingearbeitete und schattierte Schraubenschlüssel stehen für die Herstellerkompe-tenz von Qualitätswerkzeugen, während der Drache umspielt von einem Flammenmeer für die Kraft und Langlebigkeit der Produkte
„Made in Germany“ steht. Die GEDORE Harley kann auf dem Messe-stand in Frankfurt bewundert werden.
Im Zuge der Diskussion um die Nutzung alternativer Energien, auch im Automotive Bereich, stellt die GEDORE Gruppe auf ihrem Messe-stand ein weiteres Highlight aus.Das Solarmobil der Fachhochschule Bochum, bekannt unter dem Namen SolarWorld No. 1, fährt ohne Treibstoff und verursacht keinen Lärm. Reine Sonnenenergie lässt das kurvenreichste Solarfahrzeug der Welt Geschwindigkeiten bis zu 120 Stundenkilometern erreichen - bei einem Gewicht von knapp 200 Kilogramm eine ganze Menge. Kein Wunder, dass das Mobil bei internationalen Solarrennen zu den Erfolgreichsten gehört. Vielleicht auch durch den Einsatz von GEDORE-Werkzeugen. So hat es zuletzt bei der American Solar Challenge im Juli 2008 die Rennstrecke von fast 4000 Kilometern als Drittplatzierter gemeistert.

THE GEDORE CHASSISThe trapezoidal GEDORE chassis uniformly distributes the applied forces.
The axle is mounted on triple bearings and is securely connected to the trapezoid.
The third, central bearing prevents the axle bending under load.
The special axle design ensures that the GEDORE high-performance rollers always roll on the full faces of their treads.
Even under full load, the rollers retain their smooth running properties and cannot shed their tyres.
Vertical and horizontal forces are absorbed by the positive-fit trapezoidal design.
