OBJECTIVE To operate 1000 mobile health vans to provide free

primary healthcare to 25 million rural Indians.

ACHIEVEMENTS 1. Wockhardt Foundation’s Mobile 1000

concept is being increasingly regarded

as a catalyst in the regions of its

presence

footprint of this service has translated

• decline in the healthcare spending of

thousands of rural Indians

one model village in his or her constituency with the goal of improving physical and institutional infrastructure in a holistic way

• The long-term aim is that each of these villages will then inspire and serve as a model to other villages in the area
