Plagiarism is considered a serious academic problem. It is usually defined as using the words or the ideas of other scholars without acknowledging them. Although this definition is simple, it is not always easy to understand what is acceptable and what is plagia- rism in specific cases. This workshop will address the rules, the norms, and the ethics of working with other scholars’ ideas so that we can recognize and avoid plagiarism.
