Chancellor Michael Harris said tuition discounts and efforts to encourage timely degree completion along with a wide variety of classes offered led to the enrollment boom. Jack Tharp, vice chancellor for student affairs, said the number of students enrolled is up 8 percent from the 2011 summer session, and credit hours taken are up 15 percent.
