Quick Install Guide Troubleshooting1. If Ive lost my CD what can I do? The CD contains software drivers and manual which can be obtained from D-Link

(see Technical Support below). Windows 000, XP, Vista in most cases will automatically install the correct drivers.

2. If Ive forgotten my wireless encryption key? The wireless encryption key is configured at the Wireless Access Point, Router or

DSL Modem Router. If you are unable to obtain your encryption key, the only solution would be to re-configure your Access Point/Router to use a new encryption key. Please contact your Wireless Access Point/Router/DSL Modem Router manufacturer.

3. Why cant I get a wireless connection? Check that your DWA-40 is plugged in properly to the USB port or try to plug the

DWA-40 into another USB port if available. The LED on the DWA-40 should be lit, otherwise there could be a physical fault

on the USB port or the driver is not installed properly. Ensure that the wireless settings on the DWA-40 match the settings on your

Access Point/Router. Please check and confirm your settings for.Wireless Network Name (SSID)Wireless Encryption KeyWireless Security Method (E.g. WEP, WPA)To check whether a Wireless connection has been made, in the Windows System Tray (bottom right). Red means no valid connections have been made.

Check that your Internet is working fine on existing computers. Ensure that you have followed and completed the software installation process,

otherwise, please re-install the software. The LED on the DWA-40 should come on after software installation.

4. Which Operating Systems does the DWA-140 support? The DWA-40 support all popular Operating Systems including Microsoft Windows

XP(64/ bit)/000/Vista. Note: If you are unable to connect, see the Troubleshooting chapter of the product

manual in the D-Link DWA-140 RangeBooster N Adapter CD

Kurzanleitung fr die Fehlerbehebung1. Was kann ich tun, wenn ich meine CD verloren habe? Auf der CD sind die Software-Treiber und das Handbuch gespeichert. Diese

sind jedoch auch direkt bei D-Link erhltlich (siehe Technischer Kundendienst). Unter Windows 000, XP, Vista werden die entsprechenden Treiber in der Regel automatisch installiert.

2. Was kann ich tun, wenn ich meinen Verschlsselungsschlssel fr die drahtlose Verbindung vergessen habe?

Der Verschlsselungsschlssel wird im drahtlosen Access Point, Router oder DSL-Modem-Router eingestellt. Wenn Sie Ihren Verschlsselungsschlssel verloren haben, mssen Sie den Access Point bzw. den Router neu konfigurieren und einen neuen Schlssel einstellen. Bitte wenden Sie sich dazu an den Hersteller Ihres drahtlosen Access Point, Routers oder DSL-Modem-Routers.

3. Warum kann ich keine drahtlose Verbindung aufbauen? berprfen Sie, ob der DWA-40 ordnungsgem mit dem USB-Anschluss

verbunden ist, oder versuchen Sie, wenn mglich, den DWA-40 an einen anderen USB-Anschluss anzuschlieen.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die grne Verbindungsanzeige leuchtet. Falls nicht, mssen der Treiber oder der USB-Anschluss berprft werden.

berprfen Sie, ob die Einstellungen fr die drahtlose Verbindung am DWA-40 mit den Einstellungen des Access Point bzw. Routers bereinstimmen. berprfen Sie folgende Einstellungen:Netzwerkname (SSID)Verschlsselungsschlssel fr die drahtlose VerbindungSicherheitsstandard fr drahtlose Verbindungen (z. B. WEP, WPA)berprfen Sie in der Windows-Taskleiste (rechts unten), ob eine drahtlose Verbindung aufgebaut wurde. Wenn das Symbol rot angezeigt wird, wurde keine Verbindung aufgebaut.

Installieren Sie die Software bei Bedarf neu. Die Anzeige am DWA-40 beginnt zu leuchten, sobald die Software korrekt installiert ist.

Dpannage Guide dinstallation rapide1. Jai perdu mon CD, que puis-je faire ?

Le CD contient les pilotes de la carte et son manuel. Vous pouvez les tlcharger sur le site D-Link (Voir Support Technique ci-dessous). Windows 000, XP, Vista installent gnralemant de faon automatique les bons drivers.

2. Jai perdu ma cl dencryption sans filLa cl dencryption sans fil est configure sur le point daccs, le routeur ou le modem routeur DSL sans fil. Si vous ne retrouvez pas cette cl dencryption, lunique solution est de reconfigurer votre point daccs ou routeur afin den utiliser une nouvelle. Merci de contacter le constructeur de votre point daccs/routeur/modem routeur DSL.

3. Je narrive pas me connecter en sans fil Vrifiez que votre DWA-40 est correctement connect sur le port USB ou

essayez de la connecter sur un autre port USB. Vrifiez que la diode verte est bien allume. Si ce nest pas le cas vrifiez le port

USB ou son pilote. Vrifiez que les paramtres sans fil de votre DWA-40 correspondent ceux de

votre point daccs/routeur. Voici les points vrifier :Nom du rseau sans fil (SSID)Cl dencryption sans filMthode de scurit sans fil (E.g. WEP, WPA)Vrifier quune connexion sans fil a t tablie, dans la barre de tache de Windows (en bas droite). Le rouge indique que la connexion sans fil na pas t tablie.

Vrifiez que la connexion Internet fonctionne sur les autres ordinateurs. Assurez vous davoir suivi et fini la procdure dinstallation logicielle, sinon merci

de la relancer. La diode de la DWA-40 ne doit sallumer quaprs cette opration.

4. Quels sont les systmes dexploitation supports par la DWA-140 ?La DWA-40 supporte les principaux systmes dexploitation dont Microsoft Windows XP(64/ bit)/000/Vista.Note: Si la connexion ne stablie pas, merci de consulter le chapitre Dpannage du manuel prsent sur le CD de la carte RangeBooster N 650 D-Link DWA-140

Solucin de problemas de la Gua de instalacin rpida1. He perdido el CD

El CD contiene controladores y el manual, que pueden obtenerse de D-Link (vea ms adelante Asistencia tcnica). Windows 000, XP, Vista instalarn automticamente los controladores correctos en la mayora de casos.
