DINK: a word short for double income, no kids.

Backpacker: a hiker who wears a backpack.

• 通俗地说，自由职业者 (freelancer) 就是“自雇劳动者” (self-employed worker) ，或者说是崇尚自由又有一技之长的非上班族。他 / 她们通常以家为单位，通过各自招数（主要是互联网）觅“活”创收。可能是因为资讯传播效率的极大提高，加上人们向往无拘无束生活的念头愈发强烈，于是，这种不拘朝九晚五带点个人英雄主义色彩的工作方式近年来得到了较快的发展。起初以年轻人居多，以作家、设计、编程、艺员居多，而后则呈现出各年龄段多行业均有人跃跃欲试的景况。

• SOHO 是英文 small office home office 的缩写，起源于美国 80 年代中后期。意即“小型家庭办公室”，也就是说，将办公室放在家里或独自租用一个小办公室，一个人顶起一片事业的天空。特指那些在家办公的自由职业者，包括作家、撰稿人、自由音乐人、画家、美编、职业玩家、网络代理人员、网站设计人员、网络主持等。
