I hope to be able to use my skills developed thus far in both the health and architectural industries in a way that can positively contribute towards our urban environments.
I want to surround myself with a group of inspiring individuals who I can share and develop skills with to help provide a hope for the future.
I have a passion to see architecture be used to serve people and their communities, across all walks of life.

You would be hiring a graduate architect with industry experience. 6 months at Terroir working in a graduate architect position, 2 years part time and 1 year full time at HDR Rice Daubney as an intern, as well as experience working on a private project.
You would be hiring a hard worker, graduating with distinction in their Bachelor of Architectural Studies, and being nominated for the NSW AIA DESIGN MEDAL and the MARGOT AND NEVILLE GRUZMAN AWARD FOR URBAN DESIGN for my final Masters Studio project.
I would bring valuable interpersonal skills, maturity and a passion for people having worked as a doctor in the public hospital system in both Australia and New Zealand for 2 years.
It would be a privilege if you would consider my application to be a part of your team. Thank you for your time and consideration.

ALTERNATE REALITY - INNOVATIONS FOR SUBURBIA
As cities continue to grow and become more urbanised, land becomes more
scarce and more valuable.
This leaves a decreasing proportion of the population that is able to realise
their ideal oversized dream home.
Maybe, in order to introduce a change to the system, there is a greater need to re
imagine an alternative ideal suburbia.
What if a new proposal that addresses some of the issues that plague our
suburbs, is strategically situated in order to attract people of influence in
our societies. With the hope that these individuals can then use their position
in society to influence the perception of what an ideal home could be.

With the aim of decreasing the footprint of an average suburban home, the architecture evolved around 3 typologies aimed at 3 different types of families.
In order to make a suburban block more efficient, and to rethink the idea of a suburb, it was necessary to break down the typical figure ground relationships,
redefine spaces and reconsider what spaces could be private versus public or an alternative - rikyu grey.

CONGWONG BAY BATHS - THE BALANCE
How can we continue to grow and advance as a people, while continuing to
exist in a finite environment?
As resources continue to be depleted, there needs to be an increased
awareness, to preserve the environment for future generations to appreciate.
In order to do so, maybe there needs to be a balance and consideration of
building in a way that respectfully engages with the environment while at the same time, addresses the needs of
people and carefully utilising the limited resources that are available.
proposition / THE BALANCE
eastern sectional elevation
How can an architecture lightly inhabit the environment that it sits in, while at the same time serve to contribute to the experience of being there?
Utilising locally sourced timber, the architecture emerged from the complex structural requirements, to support a cantilevered platform, while using minimum supports in order to protect
the environment as much as possible. The result was a dynamic structural system that would contribute to a person’s journey through the site.

university work /THE BALCONIES - TERRACES AT BONDI
It is a paradox that, as the world becomes increasingly technologically
connected, we are becoming disconnected, socially isolated, leading
more introverted lifestyles.
How can an architecture address these issues, and promote an alternative way of living? What if, instead of balconies
being used merely as a platform to engage with the view, be used as a
means to engage with the community? Instead of all balconies facing the same direction, what if they were
arranged in such a way, that encouraged social interaction with the immediate
community, rather than a virtual community?

proposition / THE BALCONIES
The architecture revolved around this concept of redefining of what a balcony is, resulting in multi layered spaces, spaces that were neither public or private, with the hope of creating an architecture that could serve the community for the better.

24 DONCASTER AVE
The aim was simply to provide a better environment for this family to grow into.
The existing conditions resulted in spaces that were poorly lit and poorly connected
to the outdoor environment, which were negatively impacting on the family.
Is it possible that architecture can have positive and negative impacts on health
and well being?
With this in mind, it was essential that the proposition be centered around bringing
light into their new home, while utilising the existing dwelling and working within
the given framework.

The angled geometry evolved out of this necessity to provide as much light as possible by orientating the glazings towards to the north eastern sun.
By carefully manipulating the framings of the openings, the hope was to provide an architecture that not only maximised the amount of light, but also connected the internal to the external environment.
With a cooperative client, this became my first solo project to carry to completion.
