A competency is a behavioral indicator

of competence. This includes the set of

knowledge, skills, abilities, or other

characteristics that contribute to

effective performance.

A competency framework is a model

that consists of one or more individual

competencies and their relationships.

This structure usually represents a

collection of competencies for a specific

domain or curriculum, or required skills

for a job or degree.

A performance Framework is definition

of different performance levels for a

competency (like rubrics).
