Message from Father Saba
Dear Beloved Parishioners of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral,
Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
I greet you on this most Great and Holy Friday, the day when the earth shook and curtain of the temple was torn in two. The curtain of the temple was torn to give access to all of us the forgiveness of sins, which the world received through the death and resurrection of the Lord Je-sus Christ. What is sin?
Sin is anything which keeps away from doing God’s will. Sin is anything that leaves us in pain. Sin is anything which separates from the love of God. Sin is anything we do or say that shows we have no trust/faith in God. Sin is anything that leaves us without hope. Christ is the hope of the world! Let us remember this EVERY DAY and NOT ONLY ON GOOD FRIDAY. Hope is eternal! His love is eternal! No end. Sin has a beginning and has a end. But, not love; not God. Let us give this hope to the whole world! The world is in dire need of Jesus Christ and His Gospel!
May the Lord who endured and suffered beatings, spittings, scourgings, pain, and death for our salvation, have mercy upon us and save us. Amen. May all those departed this life and commemorated in this Bulletin be remem-bered in His Heavenly Kingdom, always, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen. In Christ the Savior,
