I worked as a researcher at collaborative competitive project which was to design new experience with music by Gibson Innovations. Gibson Innovations is a Hong Kong-based company pioneering innovative entertainment experience, especially with music. My work was to find out critical problems and solutions for situations about listening to music. The research was containing ethnography, survey result analysis, use case study and ideation. I experienced professional research methodologies for User Experience.

I would like to obtain a position as designer in order to provide the company

with internationally branded and developed experience design skills.

I participated in web design competitive project for a wine merchant by Reading Room, a digital consultancy based in London. I managed work progresses, schedule and communication timings for my team. Also, I researched User Experience factors such as customer behaviour and fieldwork. Additionally, I defined direction to go with notions that make concept unique and unconventional. Our team offered occasion-oriented website and won the project.

I worked in app design project by ELSE, a London-based design consultancy. With professional digital design directors, I worked through all the UX / UI design processes such as customer / market research, creative direction, information design, visual design and user testing. I designed a new app for barter. I reinforced my service and graphic design skills.

I started off my professional career as a sub project manager to manage progresses and problems of system developments for the Japanese postal company. When it changed services, I analysed specification and difference of service information such as price. And I was also responsible for around 10 user testings between sub systems including making test scripts and managing schedule of human resources, system operation, and reporting. I experienced project management and information design process.

The next position was a system analyst for systems related to public pension institutes. The main objectives were to clarify landscape of IT vendors in the field and specific needs of clients. At the same timing, I engaged in organising project proposal for 2 competitions. With the help of analysis, our team won a competition for system analysis. For the project, I was in charge of clarifying relations between system modules. I organised relations described on documents by visualising. The works helped me to improve analysing skills to find out actual conditions of services different from design on paper.

I also took part in budgeting for developing a sub system for a public institute. Budgeting was proceeded by analysing and calculating the number of functions and information for services required. I could add knowledge about initial processes for User Experience Design at this experience. I became more conscious of real limited conditions on works.

EDUCATION

I studied at the postgraduate course to understand use of digital design and technology for branding. It offered unique experiences for developing design and branding skills. Especially, Brand Experience Design and Digital Design modules gave me holistic UX / UI design and branding skills. In addition to academic lectures and practices, some collaborative projects with professionals and practical methodologies improved my design skills dramatically.

I studied fundamental graphic design principles and knowledge such as Typography, Grid and Design Thinking through group projects and workshops. Also, design skills such as Illustrator and Photoshop were improved. After one year study, I moved to Brunel University London for adjusting career direction as a designer.

I learned general knowledge of mechanical engineering such as Fluid dynamics, Thermal dynamics and Mechanical dynamics. Experiments and fieldworks helped me understand logical thinking about how machines contribute to actual manufacturing. My dissertation project was to develop a machine lifecycle managing system by programming. Technologies applied were a Java technology, Voyager, JSP Servlet, Tomcat and Mysql. I learned fundamental knowledge of information and system design through developing the system.
