Welcome to Ms. Xing and Principal Di

The principal of our sister school, Brockenhurst College DiRoberts, came to our school last week. She also came to visit ourschool and attended our classes for about two days last term. Themain purpose of her last visit was to have a meeting with ourheadmaster and evaluate the teaching quality of our school.

Principal Di began her second visit with the director of thetransnational programme, Ms. Xing. This time she met ourheadmaster, Mr. Han, and the director of our internationaldepartment, Mr. Dai, to talk about the courses offered in the futureand cooperation between the two schools. Director Xing told usabout life in Britain. We thank them for coming.

Distinction in a Recent Maths Competition

We would like to congratulate Yushen Jiao for receiving a

distinction medal in the recent maths competition run by the

University of Victoria in Canada. 12 of our senior maths

students participated.

Welcome to the Students from Brockenhurst College

Three students from Brockenhurst College are going to visitour international department, and Ms. Emmy is in charge ofthis programme. It will be nice for them to not only visitsome historical places, such as Zhuhai Museum, but also toenjoy traditional Chinese food, and to learn about Chineseculture. Additionally, they will join our classes and study withus. Hopefully, they will have a nice trip, will go home knowinga lot about Chinese culture and will make lasting friendshipswith us. By Ken Hu

Our School

Hello! My name is Jason. I have a big, beautiful school. It is my

favourite home. Do you know why? Because I have very good

teachers. Doing is my English teacher and I have some best friends, but

I think Feiyan is my best, best friend. He always helps me with my

studies and he always says “ You’re a dog! Very, very dog!”

Sometimes I don’t like him, because he is always angry. He usually

fights with his class mates. This is my best school. I like it very much and

The Value of Reading Books

People often say that gold and silver are the most valuable things in the

world, but I don’t think so. In my opinion, to read books is more valuable

than anything else. The old saying “To open a book is always helpful”

clearly tells us how good it is to read a book.

Books are our friends. They introduce us to different kinds of knowledge.

They lead us down the road to success. Books are our teachers. They

teach us truth, science, literature and the philosophy of life. Besides,

they increase our knowledge, enlarge our experiences, strengthen our

character and do many other things which we cannot live without.

Books tell us what is good and what is evil and books can tell good from

bad. Therefore, to read more books is the best action for us young
