DESCRIPTION

รายงานแนวทางการปฏิรูประบบรถไฟของไทย จัดทำขึ้นโดยชมรมวิศวะจุฬาฯร่วมปฏิรูปประเทศไทย(วศ.รปปท.) ซึ่งมีสมาชิกเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญที่ใช้ชีวิตอยู่ในวงการขนส่งทางรถไฟของประเทศไทยมาอย่างยาวนาน และมีความกังวลถึงความไม่เหมาะสมหลายจุดของโครงการก่อสร้างทางรถไฟในรัฐบาลที่ผ่านมา และเพื่อให้รัฐบาลชุดปัจจุบันได้ตัดสินใจอนุมัติโครงการก่อสร้างรถไฟสายต่างๆในประเทศ ที่มาจากพื้นฐานข้อมูลที่มีการวิเคราะห์ข้อดี ข้อเสียอย่างละเอียด รอบด้านและรอบคอบ เพื่อให้การลงทุนพัฒนาระบบรถไฟของประเทศเป็นไปอย่างมั่นคงและมีประสิทธิภาพ คุ้มค่ามากที่สุด เพื่อตอบสนองระบบโลจิสติกส์ ลดต้นทุนการขนส่ง ทำให้การส่งออกของประเทศมีต้นทุนต่ำลง และสามารถแก้วิกฤติพลังงาน รวมทั้งเป้าหมายที่จะให้สัดส่วนการขนส่งสินค้าในระบบราง ในปัจจุบันร้อยละ 2 เป็นร้อยละ 10 ภายใน 25-30 ปี และเพิ่มสัดส่วนการขนส่งผู้โดยสารในระบบราง จากปัจจุบันร้อยละ 5 เป็นร้อยละ 15 ใน 25-30 ปีข้างหน้า
