‘유니세프 창립 60주년 기념 사진전-60년의 시간여행 60년의 희망찾기’전시가 12월

4일(월)~14(목)까지 한국국제교류재단 문화센터 갤러리 아름, 누리에서 개최됩니다.

유니세프(유엔아동기금) 창립 60주년을 맞아 유니세프 한국위원회가 주최하는 이번

사진전에는 총 100점의 사진이 전시됩니다.

세계 제2차 대전이 끝난 직후인 1946년 유엔총회는 전쟁의 폐허 속에서 고통 받는 유럽과

중국의 어린이 구호를 위해 유니세프를 설립했으며 이후 유니세프는‘차별 없는 구호’의

정신으로 전세계 어린이에게로 도움의 손길을 넓혀갔습니다.

1994년 유니세프 한국위원회가 한국에 설립되면서, 유니세프 역사상 최초로 한국은

도움을 받던 나라에서 도움을 주는 나라로 발전했습니다. 이번 전시를 통해 한국을

비롯해 지금은 선진국이 된 유럽 및 일본의 옛 모습과 유니세프 활동으로 희망을

되찾은 어린이들의 맑은 눈망울들을 만나실 수 있습니다.

The exhibition, “UNICEF 60th Anniversary Photo Exhibition: GreatMoments in UNICEF History,” organized by the Korean Committeefor UNICEF (KCU), will be presented at the Korea FoundationCultural Center’s Areum and Nuri Galleries, from December 4 to 14.To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of UNICEF, 100 photographswill be on display at this special exhibition.

Immediately after World War II, the newly formed United NationsGeneral Assembly, at its first meeting in London, created the United Nations

International Children’s Emergency Fund for the children of Europe and China,who faced famine and disease. UNICEF has promoted the Convention on theRights of the Child (CRC) and mobilized interest in the plight of the world’schildren.

The Korean Committee for UNICEF was launched in January 1994, whenKorea was transformed from a recipient country to a donor country. Visitors tothis exhibition will have a chance to see photos of Korean, European, and

Japanese children in earlier times who found new hope for the future thanksto the work of UNICEF. For additional information, please visit

19세기 조선시대 말엽, 제지업을 기반으로 성장한 외딴 섬마을 동화도. 어느 날 조정에 바쳐야 할 제지가 수송선과 함께 불타는 사고가 벌어지고.... 사건을 해결하고자 수사관 원규 일행이 동화도로 파견된다. 섬에 도착한 첫 날, 화재의 해결을 서두르던 원규 일행 앞에서 참혹한 살인사건이 일어난다. 범인을 알 수 없는 살인사건으로 동요하는 마을 사람들은 7년 전, 역모를 이끈 천주교도와 한패로 낙인찍혀 온가족이 참형을 당한강객주의 원혼이 일으킨 저주라 여기며 점점 광기에 휩싸여간다.

In the late 19th century, during the Joseon Dynasty, there was a remote island called Donghwado, which prospered frommaking paper. One day, a cargo of paper products from the island, destined for delivery to the royal court, burns up on boarda freighter ship. Several criminal detectives are dispatched to Donghwado to investigate the fire. On the day they arrive,however, a tragic murder takes place. The island villagers, shaken up by the murder, start to go mad, convinced that theaccident is the result of a curse placed upon them by the ghost of an islander named Merchant Kang.

A story of murder in an elite household during a weekend party in the 1930s, this film portrays the issue of identity in highsociety. Director Altman is more focused on the relationships between the aristocrats of the household and their servantsrather than finding the culprit of the crime. In November 1932, in Gosford Park, a beautiful village in England, a gatheringat the William McCordle household includes a baroness, a war hero, the British movie star Ivor Novello, and an Americanmovie producer, who come together to enjoy a weekend of hunting in the countryside. The Embassy of Israel in Korea will present five Israeli films fromDecember 11-16. The films include “Passover Fever” directed byShemi Zarhin, which won the script award at the MontrealFestival 1995 and “The Summer of Aviya,” winner of the SilverBear at the Berlin Film Festival and the Best Foreign Film at SanRemo Festival, Italy, which is based on Gila Almagor’sinternational best-selling autobiographical novel. Admission isfree, and the films are shown with English subtitles.
