An individual of the nationality of Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, New Zealand or Australia, who has never held nationality status from the Republic of China (“R.O.C.”) and who does not possess an overseas Chinese student status at the time of their application. An individual of the nationality of the above-mentioned 18 countries, pursuant to the following requirements and who has resided overseas continuously for no less than 6 years is also qualified to apply for admission under this regulation. Application eligibility is based on the“Regulations Regarding International Students
Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” of the Ministry of Education. When the regulations are
revised, the latest version published by the Ministry of Education prevails. Other issues not covered above shall be resolved by the Admission Committee according to the rules and regulations.

On the basis of fairness, justice and publicity, the International and Cross-strait Interaction and Admission
Strategy Committee, under the Office of International and Cross-strait, is established for overseas
recruitment. The Committee members, appointed by the president, consist of vice president, dean
of academic affairs, dean of student affairs, dean of general affairs, director of personnel office, director of
accounting office, dean of R&D, dean of international and cross-strait office, director of general education
center, and deans of colleges and other faculty in charge of related practices. Among the 13 to 15 committee
members, the president is the committee chairman, while the dean of the international and cross-strait office
is the executive secretary. The committee holds the meeting at least once each semester. Additional meeting,
if necessary, can be held so as to discuss and promote the essential decisions and practices.

I. Diplomas and academic records issued by foreign schools should meet the requirement of MOE. II. Students who had a criminal record or ever being expelled by the University cannot apply, and
their admission will be revoked if being found. III. Students who use faked documents in their application will be denied admission, and those who are

That I have provided the proof of the highest level of education attained (the high school diploma/ junior college diploma/University degree) is valid and legally recognized by the country in which I received such education. The diploma provided is equivalent to that which is awarded by certified school in Taiwan. If this is found to be fraudulent (including those through alterations and forgery) and in violation of any regulation, my admission will be refused, my student status revoked, and no transcript or diploma will be issued.
